I agree with what Jose Gabriel said. We were here with a member, with a 1 week free trial pass. The first time we came in, it was at about 10 p.m. and the attendant was very un-welcoming and said that it was past 9 so he couldn't let us in. He then tried to sell us a pass for $20 and when we were about to leave, he offered a $10 pass instead. We declined his offer and left since we could lift at the gym we had a membership at anyway.Came in the next day at 8:55, talked to the receptionist, she was very nice and asked us to go meet with the same guy who tried to sell us the passes the day before. She said there were a few more minutes left and they would try and get us in. As soon as we started walking towards this guy, he nods and says "they keep trying to get in with a guest pass" and says we can't use it. This was at 8:58, and yes, why would we not use the guest passing if we had one?The worst part is that they let a few other people in with the same guest pass we had, and they literally entered after we did. They did the exact same thing where they tried to upsell the $10 pass. When we about to leave again, he said he would add a free month to my brother's membership.Absolutely the worst staff I've seen at a gym. Especially because it seemed like they wouldn't let us use the guest pass only so they could have us pay. Do not go here if you're using the guest pass.

Its not a small space, but it is always crowded. I will say i get more than i paid for (person can always bring one extra guest, i pay $40 a month but take my mother with me all the time. I guess this is one of the reasons why it gets crowded. Lol). It will be better if they clean up the space more often because i can see dust flying around all of the gym.) Staff there are always nice and will welcome you.

As a gym, I love Xsport, but Schaumburg has become such a dump. I am shocked by the condition of its locker room, showers and saunas. Multiple things are always broken, the saunas smell and look absolutely unfit for health safety and the pool is grimy. I've asked about the condition before but the worker didn't seem to care. I've heard one member mention that they were so grossed out that they were going to turn the gym into the health department. Yesterday I went in the handicapped bathroom and the floor was drenched, there was no caution sign, it reeked of urine and the light was leaking. There are at least three lawsuits waiting to happen in that bathroom alone. You guys have such an opportunity here to be a great gym. No pun intended but SHAPE UP and get your gym in order because I, for one, am nearly to the point where I am going to just cancel my membership because of the disgusting state of everything and the staff's disregard for caring. The sauna is filthy and stinks, there have been two occasions where i found feces in the shower (no joke), some machine is always busted, towels are always strung on the floor. Another patron claimed he brought up the filthy conditions to the general manager but the manager claimed they couldn't afford a power washer.Update 6/7/18: i keep getting replies on here to contact them, but when I do, nobody responds back.

I find most XSports to be unkept and over crowded. This location is no exception. This place is showing wear and tear. The free weight space is so small and limited options there. The place needs a total disinfecting. Even though I get a free membership through my employer, I’m not sure if that is enough to keep me going back.I’ve never seen a drinking fountain with a drain as grimy and slimy as the one shown in the picture.

I am really tired coming to this mess every morning! That's at 5:30 am and it does not get better then the "cleaning girl shows up at 6 am". The showers and changing rooms has to be cleaned before the morning rush!Get a professional cleaning lady!

I love this gym. One of the best I've been to. I'm very particular about how my gym looks, and this place is open, comfortable, and has just about everything I could ask for. It also smells good. I use to go to lifetime, which I like, but don't like the hall of sales people. This place is open and inviting. :)

When you walk in expect to see the staff on their cellphones having their own conversations. When you go to check in you're treated like you're interrupting their socializing time and are an inconvenience (front desk, managers, most trainers included). As far as the gym it self, it's extremely crowded. Usually it takes me an hour to finish my workout, here it takes me over 2 hours because it's so crowded and you're stuck waiting at each machine. The paper towel dispensers are usually empty, the bathrooms and locker rooms are nasty, same with the showers. Many of the machines have torn leather cushions, weights are all over the floor, and same with cable attachments. The next kick in the teeth is, new members get 10 bucks membership deals yet old dedicated members are left to pay 40 bucks a month. As far as the equipment goes, there's multiples of the machines that are rarely used yet only singles of the machines of the overused (aka pec-fly machine, seated calf rise machine, decline bench press). Next, any broken machines take months to get repaired. To wrap this up, they make you jump through hoops to cancel your membership. You have to send them a certified letter, pray to the sun gods, do a rain dance, sacrifice a goat and then.. MAYBE then they will complete your request. I sent my cancellation letter over 2 months ago. I've been charged 2 billing cycles since then. (Edit: after 4 months and 160 bucks down the line they finally canceled my membership.)

GARBAGE and MISMANAGED.They have a policy of putting away weights after using them, how is anybody going to follow this policy if the MANAGERS can't follow it themselves. On most nights they have a guy or girl working hard trying to keep this place clean, however it's impossible because they are short staffed and the place is always a mess. Management would rather be futile and flirt at the front desk than help the hard working employees clean. Also, this place is always, and I mean ALWAYS packed. Unless you want to go nocturnal you will not be able to get a quality work-out in, it's IMPOSSIBLE. I took two steps to refill my water bottle and some teenager was already removing my weights.Policies here are a joke when employees are able to bring DOGS inside. Save yourself time and money and join a real gym, not this circus show. Here's the best part. To cancel your membership you have to send a letter to their PO BOX, this is how they try and get every penny out of you:"To cancel your membership, please send your request via letter, certified or registered mail to: Capital Fitness, Inc., P.O. Box 4012, Aurora, Illinois 60507"Showers smell like PISS too, unless you want a FOOT INFECTION, stay away from this place.Again, their are hard working employees who clean the place, however with poor management and loose policies this place will continue to hemorrhage memberships

I love this gym. Yes it's a bit crowded and yes there are some "meat head" types in there but if that offends you, go elsewhere. I've never had a bad experience in there. The general manager gave me a tour and signed me up. He was nothing but professional and gave clear instructions how to cancel my membership, so I don't understand what others are complaining about. Follow his directions and dispute any unnecessary charges, simple. No business has perfect processes. They have everything I need fitness wise and I love knowing I get to relax in the giant hot tub or sauna or steam room after a long workout. I pay $40 a month and I think you can't beat the price. If you're currently doing a gym without these amenities like I was (Snap, Anytime, etc) then you're going to be blown away what this gym has. TAKE A FREE TOUR.Don't judge based off the other reviews. I am only here for a few months interning with Motorola but I'm loving the gym so far. Take a tour of the place and then decide for yourself. I think you will be impressed. I only came to write a review because after signing up and going for a few weeks I couldn't believe the reviews were so negative here.EDIT: to the staff - one complaint...it was a terrible decision not to texture the floors in the locker room and hallways to the pool / pool area. I recommend changing that and saving yourself the headache of a slip and fall accident.

This gym cares about you right up until the point where you want to cancel, then their shady business practice becomes blatantly obvious. First of all they will not help you cancel what so ever at the gym itself, they make you call corporate. When I sent in my letter of cancellation I got no confirmation so I went to the gym to work out and they charged my credit card for a full month without my permission. You get put on hold for an hour while their message pops up every 30 seconds to try and get you to leave a voicemail (where they will absolutely not call you back) or visit the contact page on their site. When you finally get to someone, they’re extremely unhelpful. I tried to get a confirmation of my cancellation and they refused to send one. They also refused to refund me for the month they charged because I went one time after I cancelled, unaware they actually cancelled my membership. They told me to go to the gym and get a letter in person. I went to the gym and they told me to call corporate. They refused to give me a letter for my records.Other than that, this gym is loaded with obnoxious high school kids, and crowded to the absolute max. Save yourself the time and go to a gym who will deal with you in person rather than forcing you to call corporate and get thrown into an endless cycle of terrible customer service.
