The gym is always so freaking hot. I don’t understand why they have the AC at such a High temperature all the time. Its a sauna in there. Hopefully no one passes out in this heat.

This gym is INCREDIBLY SHADY!!! As a gym manager I cannot believe what extent they are willing to through for a sale. I signed up here precovid and my membership was automatically put on a freeze. When I was ready to come back I walked in and one of there sales managers said instead of resuming my current membership they would START A BRAND NEW ONE SO I COULD GET A PROMO so i said that sounds great. Little did I know, years later they would SEND ME TO COLLECTIONS FOR MY PAST MEMBERSHIP AND DEMAND $275?!?! What?!?! How is that possible when I just cancelled my membership a month before and was paying monthly dues. Disgusting, they are claiming I owe them three months membership ($25 monthly) PLUS LATE FEES FROM COVID??!? You gotta be kidding me. They are willing to go to any length to get a sale. Incredibly shady business practice from a non reputable gym. Disgusted.

I enjoyed this at the beginningof April, after two months decided to cancel, I spoke with the Manager and they charged me $50 annual fees. I sent an email to the corporate office and nobody answered. During this time many times the hot water was out, sauna and steam room was out of the order. A few classes afternoon only from Monday to Thursday, and a couple classes in the morning. Pool only 3 lines and you can feel uncomfortable with the other guests waiting for you. Charge annual fees for 2 months was very unexpected and unpleasant.

A few weeks ago, I went into Gold's Gym - Simi Valley to swim laps. I walk past the counter, through the gym and into the locker room. I change and go to the pool area only to find out that the pool is closed. I question the front desk staff who then point to a white board sign, far to the right corner where no one would normally see it, indicating that the pool is closed. I urge the person to put signs where one might see it as they see it clearly upon walking in to avoid my situation. Well, today, I walk into go swim laps. I look at the sign far to the right, I see a solicitation for the club, so I am all clear and ready to go! But nope, the pool is closed. This time I go back to the front desk and inquire. I am told that there are signs posted in several locations. I look at the signs and they are so called notices to members...and look like the many other solicitations in the club for powdered drinks, two for one, and every other imaginable advertisement...but this, in about 14 font, says the pool is closed. I admit, I do not read every small sign when I walk in...The young 20 something then informs me that the club EXPECTS its members to read all signs before coming into the club.Given that I am 64, lived three lives that this kid never will, and not 14, I did not take kindly to that, telling him to not be a smart aleck. I mentioned just maybe they might want to put a sign up that is distinguishable from their many solicitations that the pool is closed. Maybe put a semi large sign at the entrance to the locker room? So now, with them having the only lap pool around, I will have to call ahead, double check every sign or ask every time I walk in if their pool is open. Or, and adult could take this operation over, put up unmistakable signage that will give its members notice.Meanwhile, a few days later I called the gym asking if the pool was open. I was told it is under renovation, "to enhance member's experience." This, of course, was during a heat wave, in the middle of the summer, during water restrictions, when people just might want to use the pool.
