My daughter just started swim lessons here. I am very impressed with the staff at this gym. Very friendly and honestly friendly not fake. The pool was nice and quiet so it made a world of difference for my daughter to be able to focus on the teacher. The teacher Abby was awesome my daughter took to her immediately. Abby was very confident in her teaching but also very calm so my daughter could trust she was safe. My favorite part was how quiet everything was at this gym. A gym nearby I was going to sign her up for was so loud and overstimulating. I knew my daughter would not learn as well in that environment. I love it here. Thank you for how quiet and clean you keep the gym.I noticed some reviews about not being able to use bathroom. The staff guided us to family bathroom with a shower and toilet we are able to use, it was clean.

Stayed away from this place, even though I live less than 1/2 mile away. Popped in once Gold's took over and am very impressed already. Definitely worth giving it a shot.

New owners, Gold's Gym, looks like it will be getting better soon. New membership special, $35, but that doesn't include access to either pool.

Very happy to see the changes coming to and already taking place here! The ratings on this Google page are from before the ownership change and do not reflect the current club and staff. Happy to rejoin again!

Nice neighborhood resource. Spin and exercise rooms, full basketball gym, many classes, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Extensive cardio and weights. Friendly staff, We were members for many years and we rejoined when we moved back to Camas. Glad its still here! Very fortunate to have this local gem.

Everything about this gym is awesome, I started going there about a month ago and everyone is so nice! The only reason I gave this gym four stars is because some of the machines are a little old.

Good place. Lots of pools for the community. Plenty of gym space even if it’s a weird shape, multiple smaller rooms instead of one giant open space. Basketball court and group class rooms. Locker rooms and lockers for use. TVs for cardio. Good stuff.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Locker rooms are kept clean. Been a member since 2002. Great people. I miss the previous owners, New owner has brought in newer equipment and has revised the cost down to where almost everyone can afford. $35 per month for basic membership.

Like many other reviewers, I was happy to see that LaCamas Swim & Sport Club was recently taken over by new ownership and is now in the process of being upgraded with new equipment & amenities. As the original owner/builder of this club 25+ years ago (1996-2008), it is rewarding to see the legacy of serving the community continue.I would, however, encourage the new ownership to review/revise their membership structuring. From inception, the intention of this club was to function as a family oriented community club. The demographics of Camas remain heavily weighted with families with young children, and the area is sorely underserved as far as swimming facilities. If I understand correctly the current membership structuring - there are no family memberships. So for example, a family with 2 school-age kids that primarily wants a membership to go swimming together...maybe play in the gymnasium a bit...etc (and rarely use the gym equipment & classes), they are required to have 4 upgraded memberships at a cost of $271.16 per month. That seems like a lot more than most families are willing to pay, and drives families to alternative facilities (such as Firstenberg at $91/monthly for a non-resident family; Cascade Athletic Club, etc) that are located outside the local community. I wish the new owners great success and future growth of this newly branded Gold's gym/club!

Watch out for the fees:To gets started: $130Monthly membership fee: $67Yearly maintenance fee: $53In summary, during the first two months, they will charge you +$250. Also, the facility is old and needs significant remodeling. You are better off going with someone else that is not so greedy. I did.
