Gold's Gym

This guy John is saying false accusations about me he is the manager. He is harassing me an my friends an lot off people complain about him an he is still working there. I have a disability I was born with learning disabilities an he's saying false accusations about me he needs to stop.

Saturday Jun,3,2023. Supposed to be open at 7am and guess what! Its 7:29am and no one here!!! Allot of us just here wasting our time!

Items in my locker were stolen. My locker had my own lock. This gym is known for having this type of criminal activity, and the city of Monclair is aware of the activities when I informed the employees of the gym what happened to my items that were stolen out of my lock locker, they acted as if they did not care. They called the police and told me that they were on their way for me to follow report only to find out that they never called the police after I called the police myself they lied they were unprofessional disrespectful, the employees I’m speaking of. they have the person on video who stole my items because he is a member of the gym or the person he went to the gym weird allowed him to have access to the gym which they should be held accountable as well. The gym is doing so much to try to prevent justice, as they have not reached out to me and I had to reach out to them multiple times asked for justice for their employee lying to a customer who pays for a gym membership and all they could do is offer me is a unwelcome apology. this gym is the worst gym I ever been a part of speaking with other gym members, they have informed me that this gym has so many criminal activities that they have not done anything to justify or fix the issue. Even the officer who took my report stated she was just up here multiple times for the same crime.

I've recently returned to this gym and didn't realize how much I miss exercise classes. It is wonderful to get my body moving and follow directions. I love most the Aqua Fit class. Marta is a wonderful instructor, she has shown up even when fighting food poisoning, changes up the routine regularly to make it fun and interesting and makes an effort to learn every participant's name. Her mother's day she made an extra effort and got everyone in attendance. A. She is great instructor and makes me want to come in on a regular basis! Shout out to Marta!!

There are several pieces of equipment that have not been repaired for a long time, the men's bathrooms are neglected, there is no respect for the use of the sauna and nothing has improved.

4/2/23 Update: there's mold in the men's showers, black mold! Seriously????The workers are friendly, equipment is in good shape, but the locker rooms and pool is a whole different deal. The pool is super chlorinated. The locker rooms and nasty.

I had a wonderful experience with the sign up process Jon and Matthew were very helpful in signing me up for the type of membership that I wanted. They let me know about discounts and came across as good friends.

My wife and I live only one mile away from Gold’s Victoria Gardens, yet most of the time we choose to drive to Gold’s Montclair their layout open space, exercise equipment friendly helpful staff and organize clean gym is much appreciated. We highly recommend Gold’s Gym Montclair to anyone seeking to improve quality of life health and live longer.

Great equipments, tho such a bummer that it doesn’t have a sauna like most golds gym, they only have a steam room but breaks down extremely often and it takes several days to get repaired. And is very important for recovery and relaxing after a workout.

Horrible experience with staff and customer service . More than 8 months ago I got sent to collections and they Said after I do 30$ payments for 6 months I would be free of my contract. Come to find out they kept charging me after those 6 and don’t want to issue a refund for this month that they still charged me after I canceled. Now the manger is saying they started a new contract after my 6 months was up without notifying me! To make matters worse I asked to speak with customer service or someone higher and they refused.
