I checked all the clubs in this area. The regular fitness thru Costco were less than 15.00/month. I am paying more than 4 times for this club - it is well worth the extra. Free classes; more than 100/ week. I feel happy when I am in the club not depressed when I visited those fitness centers. There was one more in the area where nobody smiled and about 15% of the amenities of this club. So far, it has been a wonderful experience. The spa personnel were not as friendly. The only draw back is the expense of a personal trainer - almost a $1000 for a month.I would give them a 3 rating and may change it - if it were not for the spa and the overly expensive salesmanship of the personal training.Update. You don't know how good a business is till there is a problem. Thus the change to 1 star.

Used to be a first rate gym, has since gone down hill as equipment ages, and member favorite features are removed. Even though the gym experience has declined the price seems to keep climbing. Really makes it hard to rationalize using a gym over your local recreation center.

My family joined a few years ago and have now canceled our membership. When we initially joined we were pleased with the services. After a few months the shine began to wear off. We were NEVER told when we signed up that in the summer months the gym has summer camps with hundreds of kids. The pool is packed with children whose parents are not even members, but have paid for their children to attend the camp during the summer months. The pool was extremely noisy and dirty all summer long with screaming children and trash. The bottom of the pool was always dirty with sand and rock. The music rarely worked and the outdoor hot tub was usually closed for cleaning. One reason we purchased a membership was because the public pools are packed during the summer but several times while we were at the pool we considered this pool to be even busier than many public pools we go to in Broomfield due to the summer camps. Many times while at the club the hot tubs were closed for cleaning, the saunas were also closed for cleaning or repairs, yet I saw no cleaning/repairs going on.The trainers are trained for a constant up sell. It's real and we fell for it. Heart monitors, weight loss challenges, nutritional classes, etc. When we joined we initially thought we needed all of these things to succeed, but the truth is, we didn't. Stay away from all the hype of their vitamins, protein drinks, etc. these are just money draining props they sell for increased revenue. We started having serious reservations about the club so we put our membership on hold. We were told it was $10.00 a month to put it on hold; but could come to the club once a month, anytime-and the $10.00 would turn into LT bucks. The gym has been collecting this $10.00 a month for the last several months without any of us going. I decided to give the gym another try and went in to sign back up. First off, I was told I needed to covert to an individual membership because no one else in my family wanted to come back. Secondly, I was told they are NO LONGER allowing anyone to workout once a month even though we were paying the ten dollars. We were told when we went on hold we would have access to the club once a month for as long as we were "on hold"....I then inquired what the ten dollars a month is being used for and was told "it's so you don't have to pay the $300.00 joining fee if you ever decide to join again." WOW. Apparently in August they emailed out a change of membership status....?!?! Thirdly, they said the membership fee has gone from $58.00 a month to $69.00 a month?!? What improvements did the gym do to demand more money from me? None, as far as I can see...As I stood there dumbfounded by what I was hearing, it became abundantly clear I was no longer welcome here. I cancelled my membership and don't plan on paying another "joining fee" sorry, I guess it's not for a LIFETIME.....

The gym is VERY overcrowded and the equipment is rapidly aging. For the price you'd think they would at least have nicer equipment than this. The weight room is even starting to kind of smell funky due to the high volume of users. The gym …

A nice, clean place. Would be nice if rock climbing wall was open for kids' use in the mornings during summer. My pet peeve with this place is to go to a Yoga class, after you fight to find parking, you walk in and have to go across the club to go up the stairs and all the way to the opposite side again to go to the Yoga studio!! A simple stair case near the entry would have made life much simpler!

While the gym itself is a great place to both workout and get away for awhile, its changed a lot in the 5 years I have been a member. The new family hours for the pool would be ok if my kids would quit school. Having family hours as 11 -2 on week days is stupid. The hot tubs are almost always being worked on. The Personal trainers are pushing their services harder than a hooker in Vegas. Kids under 12 are not suppose to be upstairs in the workout area but I'm constantly waiting for some little kid to stop playing on the machines. Maybe if they could go swimming once in awhile they wouldn't be bothering me. So if you want to pay $60 per person and 20 per kid to not swim or work out then its the place for you. Ive decided its time for my family to move on.I recently attempted to check it back out after I received a " alumni pricing" flyer in the mail. So I packed up the kids and headed up there. After I finally found a parking spot I want inside and told them what I wanted to check out. I waited in the main room for about 30 minutes and finally a guy came up and signed the guess register. I told him I was interested in joining again and wanted to see what had changed in the gym. We walked around for about a hour, came back and he had left. figured if they wanted us back he would have stayed.

Yes it is pricey compared to $20 per month at 24 Hr Fit, but it is not the Motel 6 of Fitness Clubs. Stuff works, is clean and they are on top of the details. The kid area with all kinds of activities adds up to 2 hours of workout freedom per day. My kids and 99% of the rest have a good time there after they know what to expect. The Cafe, Hair Salon and Massages are all very convenient and not overpriced in my opinion. Been there 6 years and can't remember anything but positive experiences with the crew they have-from kid care to personal trainers to the front desk- surprised to hear contrary comments, because I have never seen it.

I pumped hundreds of dollars into their testing and programs and didn't lose an ounce or shed an inch. This may be unique, but it was my experience. I agree with the previous review that they're always trying to sell you something. The free-weight area is usually packed because it is so cramped and the hardwood area for you to do your own workouts are too, but it's the only place to swim in Broomfield if you're a serious lap swimmer. It was pricey, but the facilities are really nice.

For those that mentioned rude customer service, either those rude people don't work here anymore or you just got the bad luck of the draw. Because everytime I've come here they've been great. I locked my keys in the car and 2 customer service came out to help me. I feel that they're really nice. Granted I've had a membership with them for 4 months now so I'll start from the top..I signed up with the new head guy Josh. Nice guy, wasn't pushy at all. Took me and my husband on a tour, placed looked nice overall. Bigger than any other gym I've toured before and I've toured them all. (24hr, Fitness 19, Anytime, Curves, etc.) The locker rooms are clean, they have hair dryers available at every sink (in the lady's there are anyway). They have a nice cafe, spa, indoor/outdoor pool, saunas, outdoor grill, rock wall, basketball courts. With respect to the other gyms, this gym is very expensive but once you see all that it has to offer, it's worth it.Also, WITH kids, we've found it to be the cheapest as far as membership goes. It's an additional $6/month per kid; we have 3. At 24hr it's $20/month per kid. AND at this gym I get 2 hours free/day. The childcare is great. I noticed on my membership card, when they scan it, a picture of each of my kids pop up to assure even the newest staff member which is my kid so that I'm not leaving with the wrong kids or taking any extra that I shouldn't be. To me, that's a GREAT safety technique. The staff is friendly and has the same amount of patience as does any other parent. I say that because I can see the frustration in their faces on a busy day but they still do their job professionally. I have sat in the daycare on occasion with my kids just to see what it's like and they have no problem with that. My daughter needed some adjusting to it and they allowed me to sit there with her until she did get adjusted and all my kids do fine. They don't change diapers, I don't know if they give bottles because I still nurse my baby, but they call you on the intercom to come down to do whatever it is your child needs. I have no problem with that. I was told that during my tour and by signing up still meant I was okay with it which I am. If your kid is still potty training and needs help, they call you down for that. In a nutshell, they are only there to keep your kids occupied for a couple hours while you go and workout. They also offer classes (yoga, pilates, etc.) and even kids activities down to age 3yrs.Like any other gym, it has it's peak hours where it's going to get crowded. Let's be real. It's open 24/7 and if the only time you can go to the gym is during those peak hours well guess what, it's going to be crowded. I don't know why some people are upset to see a gym "crowded" like they expect to be the only ones using the place. If your fortunate enough to go outside those peak hours, like me, then it's a good feeling. The equipment is great. On some of the equipment there are 2 of each - if its not right right next to each other its just a couple equipments down. That's really cool in case someone is using something that I want to work on I can always go to the other equipment just like it, or another equipment that works the same muscles. Real simple. My overall experience has been a great one. I would recommend this gym to all my friends and those who have kids. If you don't have kids, the price might still be worth your interest. Not only is this a gym workout at, but it has free wifi at the cafe if you just want to go there to sip on a latte w/sandwich and surf the internet, get a haircut/massage or go for a dip in the pool or hang out in the hot tub/sauna.

I had a tough time with this gym when they first started out in 2008. But it's definitely better. Gyms are like anything else, you get what you pay for. As someone who enjoys exercise a lot, it's worth it to get towels, clean locker rooms, really good fit instructors and classes that change routines. As far as the childcare center goes, she should see it on weekends or holidays. I have 4 kids and the 8,6,4 year old loves the gym area, computers etc. All little kids think the door that opens is their parent. Finally, the staff is so strict about parents being in the water with kids under 5. They've chided me several times because I was sitting near the edge of the pool and not in it. I was annoyed at first but realized I would rather have them like that than have my kids in danger because I want to talk on the phone.
