Went for a one day trial. Found the place very pretentious, everyone working out seemed very self involved, the front desk staff was unhelpful, didn't even point out where the locker room was, no tour or information whatsoever, classes were absolutely huge with people, steam room was packed to the gills with men in towels, very uncomfortable to sit in, place overall didn't really seem that clean, I think you would find most of the same equipment at a planet fitness for 50 cents a day, there were good looking people so there's that, currently quoting $257 a month and $150 enrollment fee if you don't have a corporate or school affiliation.

I was invited to the gym for the first visit. When I arrived the person who was supposed to do the tour was not there, he did not pick up the phone. The person who did it instead was nice but just did not have the time. I was left alone without any kind of intro to the gym, body analysis, discussions about goals etc. If something like this is advertised and co workers call me for making such explicit arrangements/appointment, I would expect it to happen for the amount of money this gym costs. In total, a lot of empty promises for a lot of money.

Buyer beware. It took me weeks to cancel my membership. They made it absolutely impossible. The 'person that cancels memberships' was never in and that was the best they could tell me day after day. I will never trust equinox with my business every again.
