Place is OK, I have never had a bad experience, overall its a good gym. What I like about it is that is just 5 min away from home. What I hate the most is that gets packed every afternoon. You can't really follow your routine because there is no equipment available, especially the smith machines. I hope the relocation takes care of this problem by adding more equipment and also new machines.

Usually get a very good workout there, love the TVs and machines. Although I didnt get to use the massage chairs because i would have to pay more.

I've been trying to cancel my membership for over a year. I've tried every way they said. I moved out of the country and still can't get it canceled. Never seen a business trying to keep 10 bucks this desperately.

I would like to retract last post and say i had a great day pass experience and re joined Planet Fitness Black Card. Thank you 🌟Now i can't give the a star. April 1 2021 After taking a year off because of Covid, I decided it was safe to try n go back, got a day pass to see if things were good. Planet fitness wouldn't let me try the hydro message bed. I explained i was ready to get a black card, employee even remembered me, said the Rules said N0. Guess I'm supposed to just pay without looking into things. What a shame! I was so looking forward to re-upingI would like to retract last post and say i had a great day pass experience and re joined Planet Fitness Black Card. Thank you 🌟

Front desk always empty, it is not clean, and people are not wearing mask. Wearing mask is a mandatory from El Paso TX law and less costumers are wearing the mask especially if the coming close to other costumers. I went to another Planet fitness in to the west side and the gym are very clean and they have more people in to the front desk taking care of the costumers and the managers taking very seriously the law about wearing mask and covid-19. Please reviews your law into this place and tell to the costumers to wear a.mask because this is a serious virus and people can died for it!

They’re hours have changed due to COVID so they’re no longer 24hrs and now they open at 5am. So many people show up by 5am ready to work out and start their day but staff are constantly late and don’t show up till past 5:30am sometimes. It’s discouraging and many people leave because this time is valuable to them that’s why they’re here on time! Extremely unprofessional.

Thinking about switching to a 24hr gym. This Planet Fitness is always packed since they have a special for $1 going on now. They say they changed the hours from 24hrs for COVID safety. But when you go in their it’s so packed full of people it’s actually a COVID breeding ground. Extend the hours back to 24 if you want to keep less people in their at the same time. Because right now it just seems like they want to save on labor. The PF in other states literally only close for 2 or 3 hours a day for cleaning. So it makes no sense.

I'll start with the good. Its clean, prices arent bad, guy working the desk was friendly and helpful. Now not so good, not a single free barbell, barbell bench or squat rack. Only smith machines, anyone who actually lifts knows that's a huge difference. Dumbells only go up to 75lb, I warm up with that when I dumbell bench. No kettle bells, medicine balls, etc. In general super lacking in free weights. You cant maintain or improve your power/Olympic lifts here because you simply cant do them. I got a membership because I needed a place in the area to workout for a short time. I knew there was a reason I never went to a PF before. Just hope the horror stories arent true at this location. Decent place if you're a beginner or dont workout heavy, and I'll be able to make it work for a month but simply not a place for serious or experienced lifters. Also I would suggest getting some 100lb plates for the leg press. Gotta put like 8 45s on each side.Edit: I appreciate the reply and added a star back. I did not talk to the gym manager because I doubt it would result in additional equipment (barbells, squat racks, lift pads). After asking around, all PF locations pretty much have the same stuff. It wasnt unwelcoming and it's not a bad gym. It's just not a place for heavier lifting or compound workouts.

When I first got this membership nearly a year ago with Angel (who is amazing and always has been) I enjoyed it here. However, now I go in the mornings and they’re always late. The individual this morning was cleaning (good job) but for ten minutes he didn’t bother to glance at the front desk and a long line gathered. When he did come to the desk after I went and told him there was a line he unplugged the computer after a woman scanned her pass because it wasn’t working then when it came back on he turned her away saying it wouldn’t work....? She was trying to get a tanning bed and they’ve done that to me before as well. The tanning beds adjustment controls do not work and are very cold. The Hydro lounge chair is what I did today in the black card area and it was already cold but there was a discernible difference for the last few minutes as if the a/c was turned down because the man was visibly annoyed that I came to tell him that he had a line at the front desk. It’s as if anyone that has a black card membership is more of an annoyance to him than anything. All around shorty way to start the morning.
