Planet Fitness

This place is not bad for the price you pay. Especially since they offer massage beds, tanning beds and red light therapy. I havent been going here long and but the staff has been friendly and helpful so far. They do have a lot of machines and a lot of treadmils. They have separate “rooms” if you will to do stretching, 30min workouts or abs. The location could be better wish it was on Western or Henderson closer not in the old ghetto New River shopping center. The only thing that bugs me a little is the image they’re going for “judgement free” but I feel like they’re judging body builders and avid gym goers by not allowing “their type” of working out an clothing because they feel like they will intimidate people, just seems like big assumtions. Other then that I enjoy coming here it’s convenient for my gf and I to workout together.

A good gym, for me.I stopped in while passing through Jacksonville, and the facility was everything I've come to expect from Planet Fitness. A big, comfortable building; plenty of machines and free weights and cardio equipment; the hydro massage and other perks; a clean, private-feeling men's locker room; a stretch room -- the works! Also, the staff member that checked me in was friendly and laid-back. Lots of parking, too.In the end: zero complaints, and I'll probably return if ever again in the area.Much thanks to everyone involved with this gym. Keep up the good work :)

Horrible place. Basically got stolen from. I called in January to cancel my membership. Said everything was good to go. Was not informed I had to send a certified letter. Later, I saw i was still being billed. Called, could never get a manager on the phone. Went through my bank and planet fitness returned the money from point of cancellation. That it was all over. Nope. Tried rejoining where I moved and now I can't join because now they say I owe them $90. Yet again. Manager is no where to be found. Talked to Amanda on the phone and she informed me there is no notation on my account of me cancelling. Seriously? She is stating I will not be able to rejoin until that is paid, even though she can see I haven't been since January. So aggravated. Called corporate, no help because there privately owned. I'll be positing reviews everywhere I can.

I like this facility very much. The staff members are highly exceptional and very friendly and help you in so many ways. I joined because of the staff members friendliness and in helping accommodate me even when I was just being a visitor with a member who I was with I highly recommend this store and fitness facilities to anyone in Jacksonville over all the others who I will leave unnamed.

This is a really nice location. Everything is clean and spotless and the staff are very friendly. I like to come late at night because it is not as busy, but it is best to avoid the before work and after work hours because it tends to get a little crowded. However, with that being said even when it is busy there are still machines open you may have to wait a few minutes for people to finish their rotations but all together money well spent for a gym membership.

I love this gym. It is enough equipment in the gym that the is very little waiting if any. The staff are always friendly and very welcoming. The hydro bed is amazing. Shannon the personal trainer is awesome and know his stuff. The price is affordable. A gym that's staffed all the time is a plus. The machinces are very well maintained and always clean.

This place is WAY too packed. It may be cheap, but you can't ever get anything done unless you come very early in the morning or late at night. I switched to another gym that has more amenities, more room and is not packed with people. They need a second location in Jacksonville. Too many people for one space. Also needs another stretching/weight training area.

The staff is really friendly and helpful, even if you have to cancel your membership. The facilities are super clean and everyone is just in there to work out. I never had a problem and I was always left to my own devices.

Enjoy working out at Planet Fitness. It's not the best gym but it's the best value hands down. Could use more weights and less treadmills. I have never seen every treadmill taken but see the weight machines, racks, and free weights taken all the time. All in all it's a good clean environment.

I had one bad experience with this location. It wasn’t even the location, it was more so a couple of the employees. Since then, I’ve had one of the Planet Fitness representatives, Cameron, call me to find out what happen with that particular experience. Before I spoke with Cameron, I refused to step foot back into that location. Since I spoke with Cameron, I feel like I can actually go into this location again without having any other issues. He took the time to listen to my experience and offered a solution.If it was not for Cameron reaching out to me to find out what happened, I would not go back to this gym. Due to Cameron actually taking the time to research me and go so far as to contact me just to hear about my experience and offer solutions for me, it let me know that they do have people who still value their customers.In addition to Cameron, you just cannot beat the price of the services. For $20/month, you get to work out all day everyday if you want, you have access to the tanning bed (once per 24 hours… it’s the law… lol), discounts on products that they offer. It really is a great deal.I’m so happy someone took the time to care enough to reach out to me. Cameron saved me and my entire family as customers.
