DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS PLACE!!!!!! I signed up in January of 2020. Before Covid 19. So in September when the gym opened back up they sent out an email stating " Planet Fitness will be open to all members with medical needs per executive order 141. And to respect one's privacy we will not be asking for you to provide documentation." So today I notice the charges to my account. I called spoke to someone I guess the Planet Fitness customer service, and was told that I need to go into the store an cancel. I explained everything to her about the email PLANET FITNESS sent out. Which she was aware of. Told me its usually a 58 dollar fee to cancel early but it can be waived. Okay cool so I go into the store and ask for the manager. Instead I get Adam. Who needs to be put on bathroom detail bc he has no customer service skills. Why is it his business Im just now coming to cancel but yall opened in September? Or why I just now noticed the charges on my account. Or when I asked him for a number for corporate Home Office or something like that. He tells me I cant give that out. So bc I don't have a medical need an I choose to respect the executive order Adam won't let me cancel without first paying a $58 fee. Like really I aint got nothing to do with Covid 19 any other time I understand your fee but this got nothing to do with me.

Great place....Golds Gym was going to charge me 15.00 for a 50 minute work out. YES, I am a member in Greensboro NC. The staff allowed me to come in for free and explained my process of moving my membership from Greensboro to Jacksonville NC at Planet Fitness.Thank you

Haven't been going here long. But the staff makes you feel welcomed. Josh is the best trainer they've ever had. They're all patient and ready to help as much as they can.

I called to cancel my memberships and was told I had to go in or mail a letter to cancel both memberships. When I finally had time to go in and cancel I was told I was 3 days too late to cancel without being charged for the annual memberships. I was not told I would be charged if I didn’t come in by a certain date, plus I’ve cancelled my memberships now and they have attempted once already to charge my bank account causing two fees of $29. and when I called they told me they can’t do anything to stop these charges that they will make 3 attempts all costing $29.00 for both cancelled memberships. So in all they will cause my bank to be overdrawn $180. for two cancelled memberships. This is a scam they could stop the annual fees but obviously just want money. To top it off I only used my membership once in a year.

For the price, this place is a great gym. It is large with plenty of room to get in a good exercise. There are plenty of machines and weights so that you can easily get your workout in with minimal to no wait times for equipment.

Buyer Beware!! They require an in-person visit or certified letter to cancel memberships and you cannot get a person to answer the phone or a personal response to an emailed request for assistance or refund. They will automatically continue to withdraw funds. No wonder they are involved in a class action lawsuit. You can cancel membership to magazines or other organizations online but not the gym???? It's because they know not all people can go in person or to the post office to send a certified letter so they can continue to steal your money. Update: they will respond quickly to a bad review and tell you to contact the gym manager but will not return a phone call to the only available phone number nor provide a phone number for the local gym to contact the manager. They have my phone number on file and should call me directly.

Canceled my membership today when I received the worst customer service from the guy who works there. When we were talking to the lady about our memberships she asked to wear a mask, we asked if it was okay if we just covered our faces with our shirt and she said that was okay for the moment. Then this man with a ponytail come barreling out of the corner like a bad comic book character on a power trip and begins to yell at us like we are criminal. 80% of the people in the gym were not wearing a face covering of any kind but for some reason this guy decided to pick a problem with me an my wife. Our memberships will be canceled and we not be returning and when possible turn people away from doing business there. I was no against wearing a mask and I am not complaining about the mask policy that keeps people safe. But that man did not even try to be polite about it, he was unprofessional and made the entire experience an uncomfortable one which took away from the atmosphere that planet fitness normally provides.

Mariah gave me a tour when I came in and took her time showing me around. It’s very clean and well kept. I’ve been a member in other gyms so it’s a good environment. Professional and a good place to workout. The price is reasonable too.

The “no judgment” atmosphere. I love that I can freely exercise, knowing I’m not being critiqued for every little move I make. It instantly feels like you’re surrounded by family when you walk into the gym and look around. It’s also extremely clean and well kept! Overall, PF is amazing!

First time back at Planet Fitness since Covid19. Great experience Staff was friendly my gym buddy forgot his mask and the staff member told him don't worry and gave him a disposable one. Treadmill socially distanced, along with ab equipment in the back overall very pleased.
