I've been to Planet Fitness's through California Washington Texas Illinois Indiana, and now North Carolina... I've also been to plenty of other competitor gyms. The one thing other than this being a gym for beginner to novice weight lifters that always sat planet fitness lower than the competitors that i complained about more than anything else is the quality of the showers.Im not sure about anyone else, but i like to take a hot shower before and / or after a workout.This gym has officially put itself on the top of the beginner to novice gym list because its water is pretty freaking hot. Flawless with everything else, clean cool staff friendly gym enthusiastsKey reason about warm showers,it loosens your muscles and it warms up your core temperature, which allows your blood acidic levels to rise way faster, causing more damage to your muscles and tendons...This is how they get stronger. Cold showers you go right to working out, and if you're out of shape, i bet you will pull something.Another note is that your body heals fastest when its core temperature is 1.5 degrees warmer than the standard 98 degrees... fact, look it up when you also your body heals the most shy because its core temperature is rose enough for the most efficient repairs to take place. Warm shower before and after a workout is just like the same for bed.You will also notice a decrease in your recovery time in between sets if you take a hot shower... fact, don't believe me, try it, then try after a cold shower.

The staff at this planet fitness are amazing. Always friendly welcoming and helpful, I have been a member for a number of years I have noticed the staff remain at this location. The facility is always clean with amply supplies for patrons to clean up. Thank you to all the staff at Hargett St. Jacksonville NC. You are wonderful !

The gym was very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. There is a large variety of workout equipment. Really enjoy this gym!

I did not have a Silver Sneakers card, but my friend did, so they let me in also. I have since gotten MY Silver Sneakers card. Thanks Lanet Fitness.

Only complaint is the water fountain filter never being changed therefore it being out of service so I can't get water while working out. Other than that great gym.

Always friendly customer service and can get in and out timely no long waits and tanning beds especially the stand-ups got great hot bulbs very effective unlike some of the other planet fitnesses in different states they're getting beds are not as great but I'm very impressed with this one and the Angel beauty machine I love it always a great time customer for life!
