Been a member for two years now. LOVE the childcare. It is more expensive than other gyms like LA Fitness but worth every penny because the kids actually want to go the gym.Update 2019 - been here 8 years now and wouldn’t trade it for any other gym. The childcare is the best and they even have FREE parent nights out on Sat night a few times a month.

I've been a member since they opened their doors. I am quitting next week. The rapid decline in the quality of the employees, the service and the cleanliness no longer warrants a $150+ per month membership plus the cost of my children's activities. When I found an employee sleeping in the changing room among the filthy towels thrown all over the floor I decided that it was time to move on. Also, anytime I tried to buy something from the cafe I got attitude and the 'we ain't open no more' response from the eloquent and well spoken employees. If you like to workout in filthy conditions, have mediocre service and broken machines, this is the place for you.

I have been going to Lifetime for about four years now and love being at the aquatic center. With all of the bad reviews I have read about this Lifetime I would like to state what I have noticed to be good. First would be Panah Roshanaei who is the deck manager. Over the past three years of being inside and out of the pool area he has always greeted everyone with a smile. One incident this past September he was explaining to a member the outside pool for children under twelve was closed. The member threw a fit and hurled a chair however, Panah remained calm and was very polite. I noticed one day he cleaned around every chair and removed the smallest of debris from the outside pool deck. It was immaculate when he finished. I never noticed over the past four years anyone performing this task to such a degree. Recently one of my clients said her children had Panah as their teacher at summer camp. She stated that he was very patient with them and a great teacher. I find the staff very helpful and consider this location to be my sanctuary.

Serious fitness! A Few of the staff are really friendly, mostly who works in the evening. Rest I find either are rude or ignorants. They have everything you need in this gym to be fit. Yoga is fantastic and fun, great teachers and believe me it is intense. Clean everywhere, pools, spa and sauna. My daughter loves their swimming pool. Issues with the towels is that a few members just misuse of it throwing it anywhere other than designated place. Plenty of parking but may get full during the evenings.

A message to management: Teach ALL your trainers to treat your customers with courtesy and respect, and part ways with those who don't. While many are friendly and polite, there are SEVERAL who walk around like they're God's gift. No one …

It was 1 am, Tuesday. I saw one of lifetime staff stop the guy inside basket ball playing ground. Asked to show membership, he said he remember everyone but him. He was intruder, free passer, that actually is very dangerous for every member …

Its funny how everyone says the same thing in the reviews. Never written a review about ANYTHING but this really got to me. I was told by a representative (who should know the equipment they have because they have to sell people their location, right?) that there was boxing bags upstairs, she went through this whole sales pitch to tell me how they have a cross fit cage, with bags, etc....I come to find out when i go up stairs that their "punching bags" are:A. inflated! Im a grown man who would tear his arms apart if i punched that thing... its a fact and you look silly punching something meant for a 12 year old...B. the bag is half way inflated and its stayed that way sense i joined a week ago, not a one time/day thing... its been deflated sense i have joined., seriously. Even thought i dont want to hit it, the care and dedication they have to their equipment is ridiculousC. This bag is build for a 12 year old, a small 12 year old. Take one look at it... its not a real bag, its more like an inflatable Halloween decoration. They will say whatever they have to for you to join. 10 years ago i was a member here with my family... it was great, dedication was there! Completely gone down hill sense.1.No personal trainers at the main desk upstairs.2. They say they will fix a problem and call you back, i have never received a call back but from one employee who could not help... just transferred me .3. their equipment is limited and they are absolutely tailored towards people who cross fit, they should inform you of that.4. Good luck finding any help5. Good luck finding any help6. Good luck finding any helpI have been working out for about 14 years and i can say this is the worst service i have seen.OneLife is an amazing gym, best gym in the area - $30 a month, going back after a week here. LifeTime is a scam. I would advice all to do the same.

Same bad experience as the other reviews. Dishonest when it come to cancellation, they lied just to get the membership charges keep going. If you want to cancel, make sure you get this in writhing from them and keep it handy, good chance they will try to charge you again and again.Reading the other reviews, apparently this is how they operates.I thought to rejoin in the future but after being lied to by several people and losing hundreds of $$$ I would never step there again

I have been a Lifetime member for over 6 years and the Alpharetta gym is the one closest to my home and therefore the one I use most often. Initially I really enjoyed the gym’s facilities but two factors in the last few years have made my daily experience here subpar to the level of service I have come to expect from Lifetime Gyms generally.1) I have noticed a general decline in the cleanliness of the men’s locker rooms particularly during peak times and especially in the later evening hours. (I can’t speak to the women’s locker room facilities). Unlike other Lifetime gyms, there are often times that towels may not be available, the floors are distinctly dirty and shower rooms not cleaned as often as they should be, given the amount of people that use them. For a very long time the swim trunk dryer area had a deep stench or was often broken. This was fixed a little while ago but the cleanliness and how often the shower rooms are taken care of still needs a lot of improvement to be compared with other Lifetime Facilities.2) Many professionals like myself come to the gym for a workout after work around 6-7pm. After an intense workout during summer the one great aspect of a Lifetime Fitness gym that you look forward to is the outdoor pool and jacuzzi. For years customers were able to freely use the pool in the evenings or at night. The pool would be closed during times for cleaning but this would not prevent customers from sitting outside or lounging in the jacuzzi. In the last six months and particularly this summer, Lifetime Alpharetta has begun a disrespectful policy of closing the pool earlier and earlier until it now supposedly closes at 8pm. This is ridiculous. For a gym that positions itself as an exclusive upscale facility and backs it up with expensive memberships, you would expect that it would make perhaps one of the best aspects of the gym, the outdoor pool and sauna, available to customers in the evenings and even better 24/7. The management at the Alpharetta gym have instead chosen to close it earlier and earlier resulting in an extremely poor experience for customers. The door to the outside pool is always open because it is a fire exit. Customers naturally walk outside to the pool area at all times of the day or evening. These days staff come outside sometimes as early as 8:30pm when there are tons of people in the pool, and begin to rudely shout for everyone to come out. The late night staff, in recent weeks have made this experience even worse. One staff member in particular shouts angrily at customers, argues with them telling them that they are wrong, and that customers should read the fine print written on the signs, and that makes everyone extremely uncomfortable. After coming out of the pool, one will notice late comers come outside to the pool and prop the door open so they have an easy way of getting back in. No one ever troubles customers about this at other gyms, but in Alpharetta, you will have the staff member come to the door aggressively and close it, locking the people outside on purpose. To scare off people from coming outside, a staff member positioned a table and chairs in front of the doors - which I’m pretty sure is a fire code violation. This isn’t the way a Lifetime Facility should be run. Lifetime can and should be better about this and I have come to be treated better by all other Lifetime gyms that I have visited. There are legitimate reasons why a pool may need to close at night. But why would a gym in an upscale part of Atlanta, catering to mid-career professionals create such a poor policy related to pool closing during the summer? There are ways around this. Have people sign waivers if they want to swim outside for one - or even include it in paperwork as part of signing memberships. I’m sure that management can come up with a better solution than the ridiculous and unfriendly policies that are now being enforced on customers. For these reasons I would caution new members about signing up for a membership for this specific location until improvements are made.

My wife and I joined Lifetime on 10/31. After our first visit we decided to cancel since the distance from our house would be a issue. We were promised on 11/02 that our money would be refunded not later than 11/06 and here we are 11/15 and I have my wife on the phone right now with Melissa and they are still BSing us about our refund. Now I wonder how she would feel if I went there in person and took $197 out of her account and held her money for as long as I feel like it.
