Very disappointed. The hot tub has been not working for weeks now. Everytime you ask the front desk they say its working, but you go to it and its cold. I have back issues and after a workout this is key to helping me recover. Vasa never gives high expectations, but why would it take so long to repair a broken piece of equipment. I know That I AM reliable on my payment!!

I would give 0 stars if I could. They have a ton of hidden fees for you to pay. The gym has been great but they are deliberately scamming people. Read the other bad reviews. I’m paying $106 this month for a $26 gym membership and if I don’t pay today they add another $25 every time try to pull my card.

I have to say, in all the states that I have lived in and all the gyms I have been a member of, Vasa Fitness has turned out to be the biggest scam. I was signed up on false information, signed a binding contract stating BOTH parties would uphold their responsibilities which was not true since you falsly advertised Kid Care. I was told by Brenton, the Layton location general manager that he would take care of canceling our membership after telling me that kidcare was a pilot program that they only executed in Southern Utah. That there was no staff trained to run kidcare, which was the ONLY reason my husband and I joined. He said we would be refunded since we never used our membership and was canceling it two weeks after signing up because they did not offer what they had promised. After being charged for again the next month, I contacted customer service and explained the situation and that I had been told my memberships would be canceled, to which I was told by Jessica, a member loyalty representative that it "wasn't proof" enough and she would not be refunding anything. Got charged AGAIN for July, and now here we are in August and I get a $102 charge. Contact customer service again to be told by Jason, another member loyalty representative, that they will only refund the annual fee. I question him on what annual fee since I had no notice of nor was supposed to be charged as it was supposed to be canceled. To which the same representative states "Thanks for reaching out! I apologize but I don't see an annual fee. It looks like it was canceled and waived already." When he was the one who told me the $102 charge was an annual fee!! I still have no had any refund for services not rendered, they did not uphold a contract that they were bound to, and am just getting the run around. As a business owner, this company is repulsively ran. Absolutely DO NOT SIGN AN AGREEMENT WITH THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!

***UPDATE: same problem again. They charge a $25 fee ontop of monthly payment because they didn't process the auto payment, and pass along the charge to the customer. Cant contact them to fix the problem. Just canceling the membership at this point because it's ridiculous!I love this gym but the company is very crooked. They are charging me late fees for no apparent reason (my account is on automatic bill pay). I try and contact the billing department via phone with no response except for "we are very busy right now" in which the phone system hangs up. I send an email with a response of "we are 12-24 days out or replying back to emails." Only excuses to rack up late fees! Do not recommend unless you don't plan on ever canceling. Very disappointed.

Love this gym and all the machines it has! The music they play always blasts through the loudest setting of my own headphones! Which is rough lol but every employee there is always so willing to talk to you and its always clean there!

Found out today that if you want to cancel personal training they still charge you two more times of $140 for services they are not going to give you! If a Trainer isn't able to do a session they still take your money and claim it will be a credit session, but for me none of those credit session stopped them from taking two more payments. If you cancel they still take your money. This company basically is a theft ring built around hidden charges. Which is why they do not allow you to cancel in the gym or on the app. You have to do it on the phone! Criminals who take advantage of customers!P.S. this response to my post is a default generated response at all review. They have no interest in contacting anyone on here. There is a reason so many reviews talk about how they continue to charge people after they cancel service. This is why people are leaving and going to direct competitors instead.

Worst experience at this location. If I could give them a zero star I would. I wanted the simple plan 9.99 a month because I just wanted to go somewhere and work out if I wanted. Some how I got trapped into paying 65 dollars every two weeks for a personal training. The guy who signed me up didn’t tell me they would charge 65 every two weeks. He just told me 65 a and the gym fee which I thought would go down to 10 because that’s what I wanted to 75 a month. Pass forward the personal trainer tells me he can’t train me because my account was delinquent. So I said screw it I didn’t use the service enough so I was done using their service. Luckily I looked at my bank account and sure enough vasa had been charging me the whole time. 65 every two weeks and 56 for the gym fee. The trainer was getting free money and so was vasa. I called and asked to cancel my service. The guy told me I had to pay 500 dollars to cancel... and that I had to pay it right there and then. I told him I didn’t have this and that if he wanted to send it to collocations that’s fine I’ll pay when I have it. Needless to say I thought this was over but it wasn’t. I just got a bill from a collections company demanding 1250 for fees. I haven’t used their service since I asked them to cancel at 500 bucks... Worst place ever. I don’t recommend this place. You have better luck at anytime fitness. Unless you have a ton of money, don’t waste it here.

This location is great!I had some issues with VASA cooperation in the past. Basically, at another location I was lied to by one of the fitness workers into signing a training contract, which states that you may not opt out of contract until the length of the contract has been completed. However, I was verbally told that I can opt out of any time. I was a poor college student and knew that at some point I was going to be able to continue to afford training. Long story short, They ended up sending a bill to collections and I had to pay VASA $1000. At that point I swore I would never step inside a VASA ever again.Fast forward a couple years, I moved to Layton, and the closest gym to my home was VASA. Hesitantly, I decided to step inside just to see if I can get a day pass so I can play basketball. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the front desk staff were. And then I tried a different gym farther away from my house and they tried to sell me again (just like VASA had did in the past). So I was turned off. Begrudgingly, I returned to VASA Layton the next day. There I told them that I wanted to sign up for a basic membership. I talked to one of the workers who helped sign me up and he was again nice, and he actually didn't try to sell me on anything. Basically by not trying to sell me, I was sold.I can't speak for other VASA locations, but I really enjoy this location. They have been good to me and other locations should look to follow from their example.

Alex was great at showing us around and getting me signed up for my gym pass. I even got to try out their in body scan machine to help me get an idea of how much weight I need to lose. I think it's awesome that I can take my daughter to the the kid care so she can be close by when I workout.I would give 5 stars, and I know this isn't their fault, but someone spilled their coffee on my coat when I was working out for the first time and I didn't think that was cool.

The gym itself is nice, the people in childcare are good, other people hit or miss some are good some are rude. But leaving the gym is a headache. If you are in the military good luck they will continue to charge once you leave, then say you did not correctly cancel your membership, but they will not let you know they will just keep charging until you see it on your credit report. This all after being told your membership was cancelled. And happened to me and my wife. If you plan on moving eventually don’t sign up here.
