I spoke with Elizabeth and she would not give me any information on when my last day on my membership was. She focused too much on the fact that I did not mail in my cancellation letter via certified. When I asked to speak with the manager of the gym, Leena, she informed me that she was not in the office. So you guys don’t have a manager on staff during regular business hours? That’s odd. Anyways, I called the Carrollton location and they gave me the information I was requesting right away without hassle. Train your people better.

If you want to get a true sleazy sales process that takes advantage of their customers - go here!My family used to have a membership here and we decided to rejoin. I was in communication with a sales rep for several weeks regarding specials running with reduced initiation fees. Received a message stating that a special was running with only $10 initiation fee (reduced from $149) and only 10 per month (screen shot attached). We went to the gym a few hours later to sign up. At the counter we explained who we were working with and that were there to sign up. We shared that we had been members previously and that one family member had a current membership. After some confusion a sales rep came out check our account and stated that he could just reinstate our account. "great, will that cost us anything?" come on back and let me explain. He then took us to one of the "sales" cubicles - reminiscent of an old school car sales dealership. He proceed to give a well rehearsed sales pitch to the benefits of being a member. We reminded him that we had a membership and that we were already aware of the club features. He then proceeded to tell us that the down payment to join would be $249 per person. (the website states $149) He said that he had two options for us - He would reduce the down payment 100 per month for us for $10 per month or a reduced down for a higher payment. We stated that we didn't wan't to pay the $149 down for 10 a month. He said he would have to check with "Luke" the manager. He came back a few minutes later and said because we were previous members they would reduce the price to the $149 down. I showed him the text messages from his sales rep stating that we were offered $10 down. He said he wouldn't honor it (no reason given why). I asked him to have Luke the manager come out and talk to me about it. He stated that Luke was "very busy" and wouldn't come out. We left very upset as to their tactics. On a side note, joined You Fit and received no sales pitches, friendly, no pressure tactics, 0 down initiation fee and $10 per month.

If I could give them a 0 stars I would! I only wanted to use the gym for a month and was told I could cancel my membership after that no problem. Wrong! I moved to a state where there where no Fitness Connection. I was told I had to mail that corporate office to cancel my membership. I did that 3 times and tried to call customer service at lest 3 times a week just to get hung up on! I finally canceled my card to stop payment. Just to get a debt letter stating I owed them $250.00! This is wrong on so many levels! These people do not care about you and only want your money!

A heads up for people interested in this gym, I have mailed letters in twice trying to cancel my membership. This process began 2 years ago and they have been charging me still claiming to never have received anything. So while I would highly recommend you look for another gym in the area, if you go here make sure you keep record of the address you used to sign up with, your member ID number, and if you get active duty orders begin your cancellation process with them immediately. They now recommend you mail a letter via certified mail for cancellation and I can't agree more because this process will take forever. This way you can avoid paying for a gym that you're no longer at.

I hate this gym with a passion. They lie about my contract ending date and the district manager ( Mike) DENIES me a copy of my contract. They are charging me $30 a month when it's suppose to be $10 plus I don't know how many fees on top of …

It’s a nice gym and well kept, but about a month or two after you sign up, they charge an additional $40 for a maintenance fee. I guess I understand the charge but they conveniently left it out of the conversation when I signed up. Just be careful.

Horrible billing just like the rest of the reviews!!!DO NOT SIGN UP WITH FITNESS CONNECTIONMy card credit that Fitness Connection was pulling my monthly bill got compromised. I called them to provide the new card and they charged me late fees twice in a week for 3 times more than what the membership costs monthly. I called billing and spoke to Stephanie she told me I had to provide a letter from my bank stating that my card was compromised in order to refund my late fees. I emailed Stephanie the letter from my bank. I called billing 3 times asking for Stephanie. Finally miraculously Stephanie just received my letter when I called the 4th time although I've sent the letter in 2 weeks prior. She told me the letter was not good because it was showing the wrong account number. Of course is showing a diff number than what I originally had because the card was stolen. I told her that I can show her my bank statements and she said that will not work. I've asked to talk to her boss but she said they were unavailable.I am done with Fitness Connection. I don't even care about the late fees I just want to cancel the membership which you have to mail in by certified mail(it's a $4 charge). I mean WOWWWWWW

The gym is nice and staff is friendly, Love that they have a womens only area... I have yet to try to leave and see if it is easy to leave this gym, for what I read it is not.I DO NOT recommend this Gym if you have young kids and want to use a gym with childcare. The staff seems to have zero training in the area of childcare. ZERO! They are nice ladies but zero experience for the looks of it. They just stand there talking to each other, or on their phones, no interaction with the kids. It is disorganize, just a bunch of kids running around wild. Im pretty sure that at times they go over the ratio of child per adult that is allowed by state laws.

Absolutely horrible. This company will rake you over the coals for trying to leave them, insist you come in person to cancel, no matter how far away you live (move to Canada? That sucks! Hope you remember to cancel before you go!), make you pay for months YOU AREN'T GOING TO BE AT THE GYM just to cancel, and then send your "debt" to a collection agency even after you have literally already paid everything you owe them TWICE OVER just to squeeze more money out of you. This is by far the shadiest business I have ever had associated with my name, and I wish very much that I had known before I signed up.Absolute garbage, steer clear!

Worse customer service ever. Do not join this gym. Because when the day comes that you do want to cancel they make it very Hard to do. Been trying for a year to cancel my membership. They will continue to charge your account no matter how many papers you sign asking to cancel. There is always an excuse as to why it didn’t happen. They always try to blame someone that’s no longer there. The most recent excuse is now that someone didn’t send something to corporate. They give you the run around. Tell you the people that can help you are not there. They ask you to come back. To call later. Lots of excuses.
