I never leave reviews for these things but I feel the need to say I have paid my VIP membership on time for the past 2yrs and at first I went pretty much everyday after work but since changing jobs and relocating I wasn't able to go as much but I continued to pay my membership ON TIME. I was shocked one day when I noticed on my statement that someone else bought out this gym and never even received a courtesy call just to tell me to show that they appreciate someone's business for so long. I was also shocked to know that they don't offer the unlimited tanning anymore which was one of the reasons why I signed up to begin with. They told me they were referring people to Planet Tan in lewisville and come to find out All they would do is waive a $20 enrollment fee and then I would still have to turn around and pay my monthly membership to tan. So basically pay $20 or so for the gym and another $20 a month to tan! Hmmm the reason why I signed up for this gym was to pay $20 for the gym and unlimited tanning together!!! (It's always about more MONEY!) I just called someone who works up there now and I told them I wanted to cancel my membership since I don't use it anymore. He stated to me that I have to come up there to sign something to cancel and also I would have to pay 2 more months ahead after I cancel my membership! What a crock considering I pay on time every month and now I have to pay you more money!!! Makes no sense at all! It seems completely unfair! It's good to know that they value there customers. I will NEVER sign up again for a gym membership I will take myself outdoors for FREE and buy a membership at a tanning salon like I used to! Poor business! Never again! They will not get another penny from me!

very unprofessional...they will try to get you to pay 100 or more just to sign up when all other gyms in the area there's no fee to join and all are month to month... most gyms in this area are 10 to 20 per month with no cancelation fees... they will try to get you to pay 40 or more per person. the front staff are mistreated by management... the place is now under construction with wires all over the place; people cutting, hammering, painting etc... fumes will make you dizzy and you could easily fall over the broken down equipment... and if you hurt yourself - they make you sign a waiver saying it's your fault...

Extremely rude staff, pushy and unprofessional sales tactics, cancelling your membership is virtually impossible without jumping through too many unnecessary hoops and requiring a written notice months in advance mailed with a tracking number to their corporate office. They also require you to give them direct access to your banking's checking account to withdraw fees from it automatically. Even when I asked if I could pay my entire year's membership in full they said no, they'd much rather use my bank's routing number instead. I'm fairly certain they are counting on making the membership cancellation process very difficult so that they keep charging their clients every month until they finally relinquish you from their contract at their discretion.

This place is a joke! Will not let you out of a membership even though they market they don't have contracts. I've spent well over $100 to get out of membership. Cancelled last year when they turned to Fitness Connection and had no idea where I placed the cancelation form then find out in January they didn't close it out. Spent more money in March, put the cancelation form in a safe place, and find out they still did not close out account. Yet again I'm out more of my time to prove I've cancelled the membership. Jenny at the front desk that took my call, was extremely nice and very apologetic. I appreciate that much. You get what you pay for. $10 a month tells me the staff isn't making enough money to give a care about their clients to do ethical things.

"Cancellation Contract Problems" there are a few ways this could occur: 1 Moving 2. Health Issues. This would not occur do to the facilities themselves. The pricing is ridiculous in a great way and the gym is beautiful.If you are having contract Problems then you didn't read your contract properly thus your problem and not the gym. If you are quiting due to the facility itself you have personal issues.Fitness Connection is an amazing deal.

This is a terrible gym. Their back end fees ended costing me $260 more, on top of their monthly fees. And good luck canceling, you must pay a full year, and two month severance. I injured my leg and still couldn't cancel my membership. Miss a payment? 40 bucks more. Go anywhere else, it won't be as crowded, and you can actually leave.

The building and equipment are great. However, the follow through with the training staff and the cancellation policy are horrible. My advice is to plan ahead when you need to cancel your membership or you could end up paying for several months for an unused membership. If you do decide to go with their onsite trainers, speak up and ask for a new one if you are not seeing results. Sometimes you are just another number.

Horrid billing practices. Charge you $10 a month.. yep until your card doesn't go through (oversight maybe) and then they hit you with $35 charge. and they don't combine a family membership so if it happens with multiple accounts, it's $35 for each one. Then when you try to cancel, suddenly your bill is twice as much? We canceled AFTER our year and they are trying to hit us with cancellation fees... I don't think so. I hope they aren't going after their BBB certification.Gym is overcrowded and too many unsupervised children running around on the equipment.

This was a good gym but has gone downhill. Don't plan on using the basketball court unless you can be there first thing in the morning or after 10 PM because it is being used by classes otherwise. When I asked about having more time to actually play basketball, I was told they were going to bring in more classes. When you need to cancel it is a hassle. Cancellation can't be done over the phone, you have to give them a notice plus pay two additional months not to mention if January or July falls in those months then you pay the maintenance fee as well. Horrible business practice!
