Extremely rude and incredibly unprofessional staff. I am a former 24 Hour Fitness member and just moved to the area for a job. I'm looking for a new gym and so I thought I'd check this one out. I go online and they offered me a 3-day free pass. "Sweet," I think... "I'll be able to try out the gym with no strings attached." NOT.I showed up here. There was one chick at the front desk on the phone for 7 minutes while myself and three others waited. Then some dude comes out from the back, smacking gum, and says "Can I help you?" I show him my 3-day pass and he asks for ID. I show him my ID and he says, "Sorry, you can't work out here. It needs to say Los Altos or Mountain View." Not only did the pass NOT say this was a requirement, but it would be impossible for me to have a new ID within the first week of moving to my new home. I explain that I just moved here and they tell me, "I can't help you. I have too many people trying to slip in."So, I try to get my roommate to send me proof of my address. In the meantime, I dig up my old ID that shows I lived here before. I show this to another guy who tells me that he can't help me either. To the staff at this gym, I wrote you a poem:Forever, I will tell others howUncool and howCareless the staff here was to me.Kindness is not in their culture. You would think they'd want my business.Or at least to honor the offer they made me.Unfortunately not.

Last night, we were discriminated and disrespected at the Zumba Studio in this gym. My Zumba instructor and a group of 8 students, all Hispanics members of this gym were kicked out of the studio by this arrogant guy who was rude to us and asked us to stop the music. We were recording a Zumba video for youtube when he came in the middle of the video and said "You guys can practice dancing but without music." I believe he disrespected our Hispanic community in this gym and instead of helping and supporting us, he decided to attacking us by stopping our practice. Shame for this customer service guy that doesn't care to run customers away from this gym. Blessings anyways.

I have always had an extremely pleasant relationship with always everyone at every 24 hour fitness location but had a very unpleasant encounter today which was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. I recommend other locations and I will never return to this particular location again. I can only speak very, very highly of other locations but not this one.

Got a 3-day free trial at my local 24 Hour Fitness. Couldn't register because " I wasn't able to prove my residence". Had my internet bills, copy of the lease and my passport as a proof. Really? Is that how you attract new clients?

Generally, I work out late at night. Less than half the time, there is someone at the front desk. So, if you need help for any reason, you are generally out of luck. Also, they play the music very loud at night, so if you want to watch tv or your own headphones, it is not easy. Management does not seem to care. I cancelled my membership.

I received a 3-day pass on 24 hour website and went to this gym to try it out. The clerk tells me that because the address on my ID is not Palo Alto I cannot use the gym (I recently moved to PA). But he told me I still might be able to use it but have to wait for the manager. Waited for 10 mins and he didn’t show up, and I ended up leaving. Is this how 24 hour fitness is attracting customers? Cause I sure as hell not going to spend a dime on a membership here. I was going to, but not anymore.

EDIT: the staff still is a bit slow and unresponsive about fixing problems, but they're getting quite better. They've also improved maintenance on their wet area, kick out habit squatters more often, and revamped their locker room. However, their schedule for fitness classes is inaccurate. Still, gets an extra star from me.Old review:The lack of front desk clerk at midnight has lead to dangerous things. This includes extremely rude nonpaying squatters sleeping in the wet area. Even at daytime the clerks know nothing about basic information about the place.Bad regulation on lots of things -- half the time that I use the Men's locker room bathrooms there is no toilet paper, and the weight setting on machines don't get corrected often at all. It took them many months to fix only a selection of their broken showerheads. On the subject of the locker rooms, I think it'd be great if the TVs were not there-- although that might be a subject for elsewhere.Having no security at midnight is completely unacceptable, and may even get them in trouble. The exact overall management of this place has dropped fast in recent years, and just too many things are wrong with the whole thing. For its convenient location and hours, I would very much like to see some improvements, for pete's sake. The wet area is very decent, I spend a lot of time there. For the record, this review is for the less costly non-Supersport.

I have been a 24 hrs customer for around 20 plus years, had the chance to try different locations around the San Francisco Bay area, even I have full access to any 24 hours to the "higher end " locations, I feel very happy with the regular club location at the San Antonio Shopping Ctr.Along these years the attention I have gotten from the front desk employees has been great, I like to work out solo for two hours at the most twice a week, usually avoid the crowded times sometimes I go late at night when I feel like having my private gym because almost nobody is there.99.5% of their equipment is in great condition, maybe a machine or two are out of service on a given day, cleanliness of the club is above average, and much of this is due to the type of customers that use the facility. As always never fails to show up , the users that are pigs and like to trash the place, the ones that just sit on the machines busy texting on their phones, the ones that disregard the gym rules of no picture taking, no gym bags on the workout floor. All in all I like this gym and the people working in them.Great job!

This is for the Super Sport. Lots of new cardio equipment. Very good selection of weight machines and free weights. Great classes. Good site layout, all on one floor. Smallish locker rooms. Has co-ed pool, sauna, steam. Convenient location.

Compared to most of the other super sports in the area, this one is a little bit behind, but it is generally clean and has nice equipment. The newly added turf area has been a huge improvement. The only downside to this place is the locker room as it's a bit small.
