I highly recommend Coastal for anyone who doesn’t feel like walking into a gym and being intimidated by not knowing what to do or how to work the machine. I’ve always been in fairly good shape, except for the last two years. Twenty pounds heavier, I decided to get my butt back in gear. Walking into Coastal felt like I didn’t miss a beat. They’re so encouraging and provide great guidance for leading a healthy lifestyle, and not just getting into some fad diet or drop weight quick schemes like i’d Been pursuing. They build a family and community around you so that you always have a support system. All I have to do is show up to get the inspiration I need from the moment I walk until the moment that I leave. They also provide great nutritional insight for sustainable eating. I’ve only been coming three weeks, and I’ve already lost 3 pounds. I also recommend it for anyone who’s never worked out a day in their life. There are people of all different shapes and sizes, but everyone gets the same enthusiasm and encouragement throughout the entire work out.

Well, I love this gym so get ready for a long review! I'm not a gym person, didn't want to go to a gym, and definitely didn't feel that I could possibly do a "cross fit" style gym. But when I reached the big 60, my weight was out of control and I was beginning to have health and mobility issues. When I saw Coastal's 6 week challenge advertised, I thought just maybe I could jump start a better routine for myself with some competitive encouragement. I was assigned a "partner," though our eating styles and workout schedules were totally different. Just knowing that if I didn't follow through, my partner would lose points was extremely motivating. That was the first thing I liked about this gym. Instant accountability. A few other things I really liked, and these will sound minor, I was able to work out in bare feet which helped me feel more balanced and stable. Also, no mirrors! Very helpful when you feel self conscious to begin with. And, I didn't feel terribly out of place because I struggled to do many of the workouts. They were inclusive and encouraging. Now, onto the important gym recommendations...1. Class times. Lots of options for class times, from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with no requirement to stick to the same time slot. Whatever works for your particular schedule on any given day, they have a class time that works. And they're open 6 days a week.2. Small classes. The classes I attended usually had between 8 - 12 people working out.3. Planned workouts. You never have to decide what to do or work on. The workouts are planned for you and include warmups, a primary workout, and a finisher. The trainers explain and demonstrate everything you do during your workout.4. Trainers. Always at least 2 trainer's so you can get as much help as you need. They would help if you were doing an exercise incorrectly, modify an exercise if you were struggling, or substitute an activity if physical limitations prevented you from doing a particular exercise.5. Accountability. Helped me learn to use a meal tracking program. It was great for keeping me more aware of what I was consuming daily. Also had you check in daily to report whether you'd reached your exercise and nutrition goals.6. Encouragement. Daily messages from Coastal staff to encourage you to keep moving forward, to stress progress over perfection, to give tips to make lifetime changes. All very motivating.7. Family. Gym staff and gym members all make you feel like you're part of a family. As though they are all rooting for your success.I think this is a great gym staffed with terrific trainers. Try them out!

I have nothing but great things to say about Coastal! The entire team is interested in helping you reach your goals. Not only do they guide the fitness portion and ensure that you have the correct form but they also keep you accountable to your goals and give you the tools to help you. Great informational emails, instructional videos and posts on the members FB page. It is truly a fitness family!

So I’ve been a member here for over three years and there is just no way to say all the wonderful things about this gym!! I have more self confidence in myself not just in how I look but how strong I’ve become! The coaches are top notch, the members are always motivating and supportive, and the music is on point! I have been through two pregnancies in two years and this gym not only helped me keep my sanity, it definitely showed me how to safely keep my strength and endurance up which helped tremendously after baby!! And even though with my second I wasn’t allowed to workout after a certain point, once I was cleared after the baby, they were back at helping me achieve all my goals SAFELY! 7 months later I have lost all of the baby weight from baby number two plus some and am deadlifting close to where I was before the baby and my endurance is getting back on track! I wouldn’t be this far with my strength and nutrition goals if it wasn’t for the coaches and my gym fam motivating me and helping me! Side note, I met one of my best and cloesest friends at this gym and our kids met and are best friends. This is more than a gym! It’s a game changer! Coastal can be a vivacious and motivating gym family but they can also be a helping hand, a strong guidance, and shoulder to lean on, or a space away from something bothering you. Whatever you need that day, Coastal that is there to help you succeed with your strength and nutrition goals and to build a healthy lifestyle all while you build self confidence and lasting friendships!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I searched high and low and tried all kinds of fitness styles and various gyms over the years, but Coastal is the only one that has really stuck for me. I needed a positive, supportive gym environment to keep me accountable to exercising without pushing me to the point of injury or burnout. I honestly thought I was just getting a fitness program, but I got WAY more than I bargained for. I met kind, authentic people. The coaches became real mentors to me in so many aspects of life. And I'm healthier, stronger, and more consistent than ever in the gym and in the kitchen. Even better - when I do hit a bump in the road and struggle to honor the commitments I've made to myself, I'm now the kind of person who just gets right back at it and doesn't look back. No more "falling off the wagon" and backsliding. Coastal taught me the skills for that. Definitely recommend this place for all ages and fitness levels.

This gym has more positivity and charisma than anywhere I have every been!The workouts are intense, focused, and efficient. I spent hours at other gyms trying to accomplish what Gary can do in 45-60 mins here!It's a eyebrow sweating hour nearly every time but it doesn't feel impossible because of the encouragement and dynamic of the others around you! I am a competitive person by nature so I love having people around me to push me to do my best!!!

I joined Costal in January of this year and my experience has been nothing but amazing. I have not only lost weight, but I have become stronger and have so much more confidence in my self. It's not like any other gym. The coaches teach you to listen to your body and that slow and steady will always prevail. If you listen to what they say you will see amazing results.

I highly recommend Coastal! From my first workout, I have felt that the trainers are dedicated to helping me achieve my goals. The trainers are knowledgeable and encouraging and they create a fun atmosphere that is non-judgmental. They not only offer a great workout, but also nutrition recommendations and accountability.

I love that at Coastal they make you feel comfortable no matter what your fitness level is! The coaches reach out to check on you, and there is a Facebook group that helps everyone stay connected, share wins and difficulties, and connect with one another in different ways. I love that it isn’t just about working out, but about changing habits in order to create a healthier sustainable lifestyle. Also, it’s so fun meeting the other people you work out with! It’s so much better than working out all by yourself!

I looooove this gym! I came to Coastal Strength and Fitness because I needed someone to help me with a lifestyle change I could maintain. The gym and coaches here did exactly that while I found a gym family I absolutely adore. The coaches and members of this gym are amazing for workouts, nutrition and even life help! I’ve tried a few gyms and workout types in my life and different nutrition options and this has by far been the best experience I’ve ever had!
