The gym has a welcoming atmosphere, appealing to young professionals and older adults alike, with an inviting loft-style setup featuring exposed brick, tall ceilings, and natural light. First workout back at Allston BSC today. Great to see all the equipment spaced out and cleaning crew constantly wiping down machines. Was good to be back!!

A pretty decent sized gym with well maintained equipment. Covid precautions are on point with masks mandatory and cleaning and sanitizing equipment within 10ft distance from anywhere in the gym. Staff is friendly and helpful

The amount of people that they had was not ok, it was crowded so much, you couldn't move and u had to wait in a line for 3 people to be done with most machines, crew and the personal trainers are very helpfull, but covid isn't over. why isn't there a limit of people to be in the gym!?!?!

This is the absolute worst, corrupt institution in Boston.- I cancelled my membership at the end of March on their website portal as instructed to do from the website. …

PT session was cancelled 15mins before the session. Reached out to the manager and there’s no response. Save your money and go get a PT ses elsewhere. Two stars, thanks to the people at the front who are genuinely nice.

More than standard gym. Your prototypical “smells like I’m about to get a great workout” type of place. A bit on the older side in terms of equipment, but has that “steel barbell” ambiance. Wish there were a few more racks and benches, but not complaining.

Some moderate to poor experiences as a member, and now after moving out of Boston and having our memberships cancelled after the lawsuit and all, my wife and I keep getting phone calls and voicemails. We have each received at least 4 voicemails in the last month or so. One call is fine, but if we don't return the call--don't keep bothering us.

Much better than the previous ownership in regards to membership/cancellation/COVID policy. They seem to be much more honest businesspeople than the previous owners in general. That being said, the Allston location is just not great, equipment is scarce and hard to find within the facility. The men’s locker room smells absolutely terrible 100% of the time to the point that it’s unusable, and this is coming from someone who grew up on a farm.

Given the pandemic, they are clearly trying and doing their best at the Allston branch, and I love coming here. Recently they moved all the spin equipment out of the studio and into the mostly unused squash courts, then turned the old spin studio into the "Deadlift zone", and it's improved my workouts dramatically. Before I had to wait for people to leave the squat racks, but now I can finish a run on a treadmill or elliptical and head into the room, wipe down the bar and weights, and not worry I'm hogging a squat rack or something. Also, great selection of machines as well as free weights. I feel safe despite covid coming here. I feel like everyone is on the same page when it comes to safety, and risk is low because of it. I have recommended people looking for a new gym to try this place first. It's bare bones, and it's perfect at being that. Love this gym.

Overall a great gym, however, they have recently started moving a lot of equipment to an exclusive personal trainer-only area, meaning there is increasingly less equipment for the majority of the members. I would understand the personal training area having exclusive equipment if the PTs stayed in that area , but they don’t... the PTs and their clients workout on the regular floor just as often, so it results in highly demanded equipment (such as squat racks) collecting dust in a secluded “personal training area” while most members are in need of this equipment and cannot access it. It just doesn’t make sense.
