It's clean, you can find a machine without waiting 95%, staff is friendly, rock climbing guys are awsome and they have a lot of nice amenities. Downside - the pool area is very very strict in regards to letting our kids have fun unless it's family time, which is time slots from Friday- Sunday. Our teenagers can't be in the pool or hot tub unless you're right there with them, not even if you're in the hot tub next to the pool and your kids are in the pool. It makes it very tough to bring your teenagers and be able to work out.

Like many gyms, cancelling is a nightmare. After deciding to cancel because we are moving, I was told that this absolutely had to be done in person. As you can imagine, I have a long to-do list associated with moving, so I complained. They relented and said I could mail a cancellation letter, but it had to be a letter of my own creation and it could not be faxed or scanned to them. We also have to pay for 45 additional days of membership after cancellation. What a transparent, deliberate attempt to make cancellation as difficult as possible. I won't even consider joining a Life Time facility near our new home, simply because of the unfriendly policies around cancellation.

I really like LifeTime! We joined primarily so the kids could attend their day camp this summer (which was awesome, by the way). So we put in our 30 day notice to cancel the membership since the summer was over. It wasn't a big deal to cancel and they prorated the month for a straight 30 day notice, so I'm not sure why there are some quite dramatic reviews online about it. Anyway, we love the kids programs they have - it makes it easy for a parent to get a workout in without feeling guilty about what the kids are doing. This is a top notch facility - what they offer for the entire family is superior to other gyms. If all you need is some cardio and weights, you will pay less elsewhere. This is a bit of a luxury, but reasonably priced considering everything available. I'm going in tonight to see about cancelling my notice and staying a member longer.

forget what all these negative people are saying...Plymouth lifetime is a good club with a good child care center. reasonably priced for the amenities. they have sold plenty of memberships...it can get hectic some days of the week and parking could upset impulsive narcissists, why not consider walking from the back of the lot as part of your warm up? i never have trouble getting on a machine, i have the patience to use another and switch up my routine if there is a class in progress. machines are new and the facility overall is clean and well maintained. the staff i have experienced were helpful and professional. the trainers are great, the cafe is great and inexpensive if your getting the right items. i exercise outdoors during the summer and being able to put memberships on standby for 10 bucks a month is a great option. if you give two months notice for cancellations there is no trouble and if you do choose to get your membership back they run promotions back to back

This gym definitely has every equipment you could look for, but the staff sucks. They will turn a simple question into a drama scene. I asked for a key to the locker cause I forgot it at home, and the guy at the counter took my ID and everything; questioning how I got into the place. As a beginner, I could care less about the abundance of equipment. Definitely will be going to give my business to another gym, even if it is smaller, because I will get the same work done, but feel more welcomed in the place. Absolute trash service. Will NOT recommend!

Workout factory. No parking. Ever. Overcrowded child facility. 'Swim team' is a disaster. Inattentive lifeguards. Canceling a membership requires a certified letter if you move. Really? A bit archaic, don't you think?Start at your own risk. They will own you for your lifetime.

While Life Time Fitness provides towel service, workout machines, and a locker room, it does not exceed expectations of a gym. In fact, it's vastly overpriced compared to other gyms. …

I love this place. The staff is friendly and helpful, management cares and listens to you, and the facility is always clean and kept nice. My favorite lifetime and I would recommend this to any of my friends. I miss this club so much because I moved away! Keep up the great work!

My favorite Lifetime by far. It's bigger than Onyx, nicer than Coon Rapids&downtown, doesn't have that hamster cage vibe like St. Louis Park and is open 24/7. Plymouth LTF is very clean, the staff&guests are friendly and there's a very inviting atmosphere every time I walk in. Even if the front desk staff is occupied on the phone or with another guest, they smile and/or wave while swiping my card and always say "Thank you, have a great day" on my way out. Working out is therapeutic for me and walking into LTF truly feels like a well deserved escape. The locker rooms are huge with plenty of space to get ready and an awesome eucalyptus steam room for post workout relaxation. There are ample machines to choose from (at least 3 different types of treadmills) and if the main cardio room is full, the second (mostly weights) room has more cardio machines as well as a great space for matwork. Both spaces are connected with a very open, streamlined and clean layout. I have attended group fitness and regular yoga classes here for almost 2 years and love the variety that's offered (all included in membership!). If one class isn't challenging enough, there are several other types of yoga and instructors that I can choose from but the instructors will often change up the class to make sure everyone gets the most out of their experience. High energy, positive vibes and a lot of sweat are common in every cardio class and the more intense yoga classes (sculpt and hot yoga). There are classes for all preference levels and the instructors are laid back in the sense that they encourage everyone to work at their own comfort level. If you prefer one-on-one training, there are personal trainers on staff which my family has had nothing but great experiences with. The childcare&swimming lessons are also exceptional. As for parking, it can be difficult between 5 and 7pm but parking downtown is difficult 24/7 so I find it pretty tolerable here. There's a skyway to walk through on either side of the building so you're never walking outside in the cold for long. This is the BEST gym EVER :)

Been a member since '97. My favorite club by far. Bigger than Champlin and much larger pool, more free weights than Fridley, More machines than Maple Grove. Friendliest staff. They constantly clean the equipment. Not too crowded except 5 pm-7 pm so I just avoid that time. Large pool area. Staff is great up front.Just for fun, I try to leave without making the turnstyle noise to see if they still say "Have a great day", They still catch it at least half the time. Does that make me a nerd? Probably I see the same trainers & employees year to year. Being a business owner, the continuity says something about how the club is managed locally. Problems? I wish members would take a little more pride in putting weights away. I see Matt the trainer picking up and organizing weights between sessions. And there's one design flaw that's really minor. The hallway into the mens locker room is about 4 feet wide with a sharp 90 degree corner. There are about 100 near crashes every day coming through that corner.
