John Small was probably the best admissions/gym sales reps I have ever worked with in the initial process of joining a club. He was extremely professional, thorough, and knowledgeable on everything Lifetime. I went into the process with a lot of concerns regarding how to cancel(which you need to do in person at the club or via certified mail) with a month notice; as well as questions regarding my health insurance discount. More than anything I was blown away by how empathetic he was in his approach to introducing me to the classes, b-ball games, and overall strategy to get into the gym more often and enjoy my time there.Would recommend!

Been my gym for a few years now and I love it. Consistently clean, routinely upgraded equipment, and fun classes included. Two different kinds of pools is fun for exercise or a day out. The staff are super kind and helpful (even if you keep locking yourself out of your locker on accident). The spa inside is also amazing, and I've been here multiple times for massages. The membership is expensive, but worth it if you use the available services.I did not give 5 stars because I find the practice of baiting a new member into a "free personal training assessment" just to up-sell protein powder and expensive personal training is a bit unethical. The communication online could also be a bit better about which services are available, and the pool being closed off for most of the year during peak hours for the high school swim team is a bummer.

First off, Shame on you Ashley Wagner. This place is such a ripoff, horrible attitudes, incompetent staff, overpriced, and the most unprofessional management I’ve ever encountered from any business. I’ve seen better managers at Burger King.I complained about the cafe staff’s horrible and unacceptable attitude problem. And even one of them eating lunch on a make line over containers of food sold to customers. They retaliated with false claims of male to female harassment on me. Just because they didn’t want to deal with being accountable for lousy service. Without proof or even considering retaliatory behavior, kept charging my membership. And put a hold on me entering the gym.It took 3 weeks before I was able to speak to Ashley Wagner. She finally took the hold off, though was told I couldn’t go in the Cafe. The Cafe staff said they felt “Threatened”. So basically they never got held accountable for poor customer service. And I the paying customer get punished.I spoke to Nan and Bab at the corporate office. They are just as off in the head as Ashley. They wouldn’t do anything about the situation, I told them the customer is always right. And both said “No you’re not”.Overall this company is horrible. And they’re delusional about it. Allowing and entertaining your over entitled Cafe staff to use false male on female harassment is extremely offensive to those that are real victims of something like that.Planet fitness is a fraction of the price, a way better deal if you don’t need all the bells and whistles.

This has to be the worst Lifetime in Minnesota. It is insanely busy, the equipment is either falling apart, old, or being used by group training classes. It’s not clean, weights are never in the proper spot. It’s generally a frustrating …

This is a review for Plymouth lifetime--mostly for the Kid's Academy (daycare/childcare). So I’ve always loved working out at lifetime clubs—I have on and off my whole life (the off period were when I lived out of state or not close to a …

Great facility, lots of equipment options and classes. Awesome trainer and instructors. Just a complaint that the Flow Guided (Yoga) classes on Tuesdays evenings should not have to deal with the noise from the Life Barre class going on in the studio next door. Flow Guided classes are meant to be relaxing, but the music from the other class is extremely disrupting. Staff should take an action on this.

I didn't Join long ago but now they have all the machines locked up every morning for classes and you can't get On. The whole rest of the gym has to share 4 squat racks.

November 2018 UpdateWe've been members for about four years now, and I'm dropping my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. Bottom line: The club has gotten significantly more crowded in the past 6-12 months. Early evenings and Saturday mornings have gotten crazy busy on a regular basis, in particular in the weight training area. All four of our family members avoid going between 4-7pm on weekdays now. There has been a lot of new housing construction to the northwest of here, and I just don't think the club can handle its current membership level. We've really enjoyed our time here, but are starting to wish there were other options in the area.Initial Review from 2014Gosh, after reading the negative reviews, we almost didn't check this health club out. Glad we did though. Signed up two weeks ago and the family has been happy with the decision. Machines are new and updated as of July 2013. Parking can be trying during peak times, especially now that it's January, but once inside there always seem to be plenty of open machines. Showers are clean, staff is cordial, and there are tons of things to do.We got a good signup deal, and a few extras were tossed in. With the kickbacks from company health insurance, rates are reasonable. Only negative so far was the initial corporate policy of trying to oversell add on features like personal trainers and such, but it wasn't that bad, and in the end the salesperson was great: we didn't feel pressured to add on anything we didn't want. So far, so good. Very satisfied.January 2018 UpdateJust thought I'd add an update to this. Our family has been going here 3-4 times per week for the past three years now and still are really satisfied with everything. Staff has always been pleasant and helpful, machines are maintained regularly, and generally speaking, we find the facilities very accessible. They seem to be regularly updating machines and cycling out older items. With that said, it is a busy place, for sure, and if you absolutely must use a specific machine or space at a specific time, you'll likely be disappointed. Our family uses the exercise area (weights, strength machines, aerobic machines), gym, and pool, and sure there are times when the pool can't be used because of HS swim team or the gym has some sort of party going on. But the schedules are posted online and so you can always check and plan ahead if you have something specific in mind. With a bit of flexibility, we've found little difficulty in using anything we want.Even in peak times, it's pretty easy for me to go through a workout getting access to every machine I want. Sure, I'll end up hopping over and coming back to a few machines because others are using them, but with rare exception I can get through my whole workout without having to stand around waiting for something. I can say that I've almost never had any problems getting on a treadmill, elliptical, or bike. The only exception to all this is .... January. The place is crazy busy then—especially the first two weeks—and we avoid that 4-8pm timeframe during that time if at all possible.

The gym is not bad. Friendly helpful staff, well most. They do close the jacuzzis entirely too often and I don't believe they tell you that you are sharing the swim area with school swim teams. Why do you constantly close the jacuzzi off to payng customers just because you don't want the swim meet kids in it? Just tell them not to get in and quit punishing your paying customers
