This is my 3rd review of this gym. I've been going for over three years now. I've seen all the changes with equipment, staff and "Gold's Fit". This gym has plenty of equipment. More than I use. It's not at all a bad gym, but unfortunately it's just the atmosphere that I'm not fond of. I notice so many people who come to this gym just to be social. This unfortunately causes my workout routine to be slowed down, because of those people who will do more talking than they need to be doing when I need the equipment they are using. The only option would be to come in at an hour when this crowd (usually the evening) isn't there. However, my schedule doesn't allow this. One other thing I've noticed within the last few months is a few fights almost broke out. I didn't know what it was about, but if these people cannot control their emotions and their arms are as thick as your head I'm pretty sure they're juicing. You'll notice a lot of that here.Bottom line is this: Good gym as far as equipment, bad atmosphere at least in the evenings (which is the busiest time).

The staff is friendly and personable. Also, everytime I'm there, I have noticed their costodial staff running around cleaning and vacuuming; they do a great job keeping it clean. I love this gym.

I have had a membership to Golds since I moved to Austin around 2009. When I went to sign up at Hesters Crossing the manager did not want to give me the special available and lied to me to try and get me into a more expensive membership. I went to another location where they signed me up no problem. Since then almost everyone I know except for my husband has switched to 24hr fitness. Last week I went in and brought a friend to go to a class with me. I signed her up online for the free class demo. I have only brought in one other friend before the whole time I have been a member here and I never will again. Nor will I ever recommend anyone to sign up here. The manager Jaimie said she needed to take a tour of the facility, his sales presentation, and he had someone else in front of us so it would be at least a 1/2hr. Which is fine I suppose but the class was about to begin so we asked if we could come by after the class. Now I understand their are rules but you know when someone is talking to you crazy and then lectured us about how we showed up to a 10:15 class at 10:15. He gave us one of those proper "go shove it" attitudes. And I looked at my friends face afterwards and her mouth was open like what the hell was that about. Exactly..

Probably the second nicest Gold's Gym I've been to in Austin. From what I've seen it's your average Gold's Gym. Good selection of equipment and free weights and, if you live in Round Rock, convenient location.

This gym charged me a late charge for paying my bill on the day it was due after my credit card was declined because it was stolen. They were supposed to waive the fines but didn't. Now after cancelling my membership I get calls from collectors daily. Horrible customer service from gym level to corporate. Way to treat a member of over a decade.

I recently rejoined Gold's Gym in Round Rock and I was more impressed this time around with the customer service than the last time. Missy was very friendly, energetic, and looked to meet my wants and needs in a gym. I was already in love with the facilities, but thanks to Missy, I now love the enviornment as well.

I have been a member with Golds for a few years now and as far as I can tell, none of the other locations compare to the Hester's Crossing location. The staff is always helpful and friendly and they accomodate the needs and wants of their members. As fart a cleanliness goes, it is above epectations and the equipment is plentiful and always in good condition. Additionally, the location of the gym its self is a major plus. I used to live further away and I made the drive every day just for this gym even though others were closer. Thats how impressed I am.As far as staff goes, I couldn't imagine a team of trainers, front desk personel, custodians or management. For example, Romona is a trainer who gives of herself beyond what is required and makes a point teaching client eduaction farther than just showing someone the motions. Unlike other gym franchises the management is very approchable and helpful which is unique to this gym; they make a point of welcoming each and every person and drop what they are doing to solve or fix a problem - especially Jamie the GM. If you are not a regular here, you are missing out on what I consider being a part of a family. The only complaint I can think of is how full the gym gets due to popularity, there sometimes is a wait for machines during rush hour. However, that can hardly be considered a flaw.

So far, the employees have been very helpful and friendly. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Equipment has been repaired when needed in a timely manner.I currently work with a trainer and she has been a huge help in motivating me to continue. Ally listens to what I have to say and takes into consideration my circumstances. I believe she has really helped me to increase my stamina and my fitness level is increasing. Thanks Ally!

Okay so I don't get why people keep bashing on this gym. I think it is OUTSTANDING! The people are helpful. Never once has it been dirty or messy. The bathrooms are always clean. The equipment is constantly being washed down by the janitorial employees. Though what I have seen of the Personal trainers... they don't seem to really know what they are doing. But oh well.

Nice equipment selection, overall well maintained, good staff, convenient in and out. Overall a very good value as gyms go . . . not super cheap and not high end.
