Gold's Gym Austin Hester's Crossing

I’ve trained at many gyms so I have plenty to compare this one to and it does not disappoint in any area. I went in to check it out and was greeted right away by the front staff, one of which happened to be the GM, Justin Anders. He showed me around the facility and talked to me about all of the gym’s features and what I was looking for specifically. After, he went over all of the options and recommended what he thought would be the best one for me. Because he took the time to really listen to what I was looking for, his recommendation was spot on and I signed up right there. Some gyms can be intimidating, especially to newcomers but Justin did a great job of making me feel comfortable and not as if I was just a number. The whole experience felt like I was chatting with a friend, not someone I had met that day. As for the gym itself, it’s amazing. One of the cleanest that I have ever seen with the perfect layout that doesn’t leave you feeling like you are on top of one another. The cardio cinema is something I’d never seen before and I can’t wait to use it. There is also a women’s only gym, if that’s what you like. Honestly, 5 stars isn’t enough to give this place and definitely not enough to give Justin Anders. Go see him, you won’t regret it!

After moving from NYC, I started at this gym. I was shock at how comfortable and useful this gym was. Then had to leave due to other reasons. After spending 9 years at 24, now I'm back and it feels awesome. It was so easy to work with Justin (Gym Mgr), he made the membership process so easy and again comfortable. Went through the different options and found which works best for my lifestyle. I tried to sign up at another location but had a horrid experience. I do know the Gold's way and what I experience last wk was not it. So after going back to my old gym, I am much happier. They have some of the most awesome, knowledgeable fitness instructors, helping with your form like Rachel Durham, Robin/Rigo, Nikki Day and Shawna Blake. Good to be home! The equipment is well taken care of at this location. Clean gym.FYI- I left my 1.5 carat wedding band in the shower, 1 day later, it was found and returned to me. Honest people goes to this location.

This gym is great. I previously went to 24 hr fitness prior to COVID. This location is especially clean and the staff are friendly. Kyle from the early morning crew was great when he helped me with an issue on my account. He was friendly and great. The gym atmosphere and the people working there are a part of why I keep coming back.Recently lost my wireless headphones in the gym - Austin was GREAT and helped me find them. Love the staff!

Staff is uneducated and equipment is always broken. I've been working out here off and on for 10 years and it's still the same busted stuff. Sad they make money that never gets put back into gym. Will be leaving and going to competition

Great floor plan, plenty of equipment in top shape condition. Has a kids club, pool, 3D scan, several other studios, and a “Gold Lady” area just for females.

Ive been in the health an Nutrition Industry for the last 10 years professional. I am a Manager of a high end Nutrition Store. So I signed a 2 year contract with GOLD'S. At the time I lost my job. Couldn't pay the monthly dues. And nobody would work with me. I tryed to pay it off in cash and pre-payed credit card. But they would only except credit or debit cards. I don't have credit cards and I had no debt card or job at the time. So now I'm in debt to gold about $500. They would not let me workout even thou i was in contact an they were institing that they were going to get there money anyways. I thou it was ilegal to be in a contact with somone they could not render me service. And now can't get no one to work with me on it. So please save your money and stress level. Just go to FITNESS CONNECTION No Contact . They will work with you and it only $10 dollars down and $10 a month. Even if you don't go it's $10 who cares if you don't go all the time. Gold deals always aren't what they say there alway a catch.

I've been a member at this Gold's Gym for 4 years. Today I get contacted and told my payment cannot be processed. I called to ask why the debit card I have been pain with for 4 years is not going to be accepted as payment. They told me they no longer take NetSpend debit cards. I have been doing all my banking online with NetSpend for 35 years. I put all my payments on this card and I use this card for my end of the year accounting. I have a savings account with NetSpend and a debit card with NetSpend. It is the only bank account that I have. There is no way that I am willing to go open a separate bank account so that Gold's Gym will be willing to take my payment. All my other creditors are willing to process payment on my NetSpend debit card. In my opinion it is a real Bank. I have a credit card number. I have a bank account number and a bank account routing number. My employer direct deposit my paycheck and all my creditors process payment on this NetSpend bank account. I have access to my bank account from anywhere in the world that I can get internet service.I am not going to get a separate bank account just to please Gold's Gym.I have canceled my membership and I will not be paying the last few payments they are asking for to close the account. They refused payment from my NetSpend debit card. That is the only form of payment I am willing to provide for them.If that is not good enough for Gold's Gym then I do not need to be a customer at Gold's Gym.

Alright gym with a large floor and good mix of equipment. Staff is morons. Right now they have 2/3 of the free weights blocked off “for non existent construction” and they did absolutely nothing to move benches or weights out of the blocked off area. No squats.The child at the front desk was nice enough to confirm there was no length of shutdown and told me I would get no compensation for days lost. They need a bit of training in handing off questions to a manager

I was a Member on and off for 20 years. Had a couple surgeries due to football injuries so I was down for 9 months. I tried again and again actually tried 3 times to put my membership on hold. They wanted my first born to put my membership on hold. Golds continued to bill me for 3 months. Six months later Brian had three Doctor notes because I was asked for different information 3 times. Then didn’t believe their GM. He had to scan and send to Dallas so It took an hour if my time. Then harassed me with 30-40 computer calls a month, along with about 20-30 emails.It’s not worth it, I will never recommend Golds Gym. It is a pretty gym. But you get what you pay for. Worst administration ever. Filing with AG and BBB.

Nice equipment, friendly staff, I’m giving them a 3-star rating because they changed their hours from 24hrs to closing at midnight. I work night shift so I would like to work out around 1-2am
