So are you requiring masks or not? I went there last night thinking I could avoid the meatheads that are usually there. A HUGE percentage of people that don’t even bother to cover their mouths and noses. Men and women. No staff walking around warning people. Or no announcement over the PA system. The staff never greets you when you come in. Why are they there?

Some people work out unmasked the entire time and I've yet to see staff ask them to mask up. Will change review if/when they correct this.Update: seems to be getting worse lately. Around 10 people in just the weights area unmasked today. Completely irresponsible of management to never ask anyone once inside to mask. Everyone seems to know it's perfectly fine to unmask here. Quitting soon and will fight for refund.

This gym has the best selection of weights and machines. However, there are not enough spray bottles for it’s size and they are 75% of the time empty, broken, or out of paper. Fulton, a much smaller location has more per square foot than this location and theirs are always full/working.The same 3 bottles that are broken on the second floor have been that way for MONTHS. Additionally, the fact that this gym closes at 9 and they cannot provide an answer as to when that will change back, I am considering cancelling.I would also like to note I have NEVER not once seen anyone cleaning in this gym. I have been at the gym literally every time of the day that they are open and have never seen anyone cleaning. This is possibly happenstance but I find it disgusting that the same black sludge has been sitting on one of the machines for months and has never been cleaned. Especially considering the state of the world currently.

This gym is pretty decent. My hubby and I went for a quick workout. The machine were clean. The ladies restroom was clean and that to me is a PLUS! As for the parking we park in the side street. It was not the busy. We workout in the morning.

I have worked out here a year and it has been a series of minor disappointments which, ultimately, caused me to cancel. While it is close to my apartment, the upkeep of machines is abysmal and it is maddeningly busy. I understand that is the nature of the beast being downtown but god have mercy on you if you're in a hurry. The business may also contribute to the struggle to keep up with cleanliness across the facility. The sauna is mix-gendered which isn't really ideal. The biggest issue was the towel service getting cut. They cached it as an environmental step but the reality is they're saving serious cash and not lowering rates. My membership now offers me less for the same price.

I was worried about the Golden1 center causing parking issues. They don’t let anyone park there unless they are for one of the small businesses and they’ve expended the parking by a lot. I haven’t had issues with parking yet and it’s been 2 months at 4x weekly. The gym can get crazy busy, but if you time it right (morning or late evening) or use the Google Maps app you can see how busy it is before you even go. They have just about everything you need and it’s so much cleaner, bigger, and newer than any of the other 24s in Sac. I haven’t had any homeless encounters inside like others are mentioning. It’s my favorite gym around hands down. It’s always been a good vibe too.

Hi 24 Hour Fitness - Sacramento Downtown Plaza, CA,I was hoping you could tell me why you are stealing my money!? I was charged 1 week ago (July 11) for a total of $40.32! I had called you directly 3 times and spoke with 3 different employees to freeze my account and since you guys shut back down no billings should be active. I would love a response.I may edit my rating once someone is able to contact me.

More and more machines are breaking down and not getting fixed. Some have been down for almost 3 months and not getting fixed. The management told me " they make there own bolts and it's gonna take a while." These bolts can be bought on the manufacturers website. It's almost like they just wanna save money instead of giving us good service. When you get the recording for the opening hours it states they are open 24/7 and they are not. They have special holiday hours that you have to call and get

I almost always stop over on my way to Truckee from the Bay Area. Of the dozen or so 24hr fitness gyms in my rotation, this one is consistently the nicest. The pool area is especially nice, I guess it just got a remodel? Parking can be found in the parking structure below the gym. Validation of parking tickets can be done inside. Are there broken machines? Of course. All gyms have them as it takes time for the warrenty service providers to fix them. But I have never had trouble finding a cardio machine and the SD auna is always hot. Would I shower here? Never, but I refuse to shower at 24 hr fitness or public gyms unless I know that they bleach the showers daily. Those gyms are a rare find and $$$.I have never delt with this gym for membership conversations, so your experiences may vary.

Got a email today that they are no longer providing towels to save water. More like they can't pay the rent cuz everything is always broken, it smells, parking is a nightmare, the services have gotten worse over the past 6 years, management can't keep employees, I'll be cancelling my membership this month after 10 years. Good luck folks.
