Staff is always friendly, and helpful. Depending on the time of day (as with most gyms) it can be almost empty, or super busy. I cannot meaningfully attest as to the weight section (as I mostly use the gym for running related workouts), but I can say with confidence that it has a great many variety of treadmills and other cardio equipment. I am a long time member, and have been happy!!

2 stars for good equipment. The machines are usually taken but I tend to focus on functional training(olympic/tire flipping/kettlebells). I have been coming to this location for 2 years now and a 24 hour member since 2006. I finally cancelled my membership over the frank rudeness of some of the staff at this location. Several of the trainers seem to think the gym belongs to them... among the crazier incidents I witnessed was a trainer threatening a member with physical violence after he voiced objection to being kicked out of a location where a class was starting. Another had a annoying habit of wheeling around a giant speaker and blasting club music at random places in the gym(outside of class times) thus preventing everyone else from listening to their own music. The final straw was the front desk supervisor who, out of the blue, sharply snapped at me for "not checking in" when I had come back in to validate my parking ticket. The entire front desk witnessed me leaving just moments earlier and I have never been barked at to check back in just to validate my parking. Most the staff use their recent memory and common sense to realize that I was just there.... It wouldn't have even been and issue except, as cited earlier, some of the staff at this location have become outright rude. Simple interactions that could be done politely are handled with course language and tone. Get your head strait, WE PAY YOU, we don't serve you. So... I canceled my membership and would encourage others to go to Cal Fit downtown instead, its cleaner and the staff aren't malignant. If 24 hour fired the few bad employees I would say this is an excellent gym.

I froze my membership 1st June 2018, nothing was actioned and I noticed today I had been charged well over $200.00 for a gym I couldn't use!The gym itself is dirty and too crowded. In short, if you want to be treated like a number, with zero customer service and no actual help ensuring you have correct form, join 24 Hour FitnessIf you want to be serious about working out, find someone else...

This is a 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport gym. One of two in the region the other being in Folsom. This one in Downtown Commons is a two-level two-story facility. Ample parking in the parking garage underneath the gym. There is a 3 hour minimum with validated parking. This gym is very clean well maintained and organized. There are many personal trainers and front counter staff to assist you. Lots of space for training and working out on various machines and equipment. I always train at this gym when I am in the downtown area.

I'm sure my experience would have been great if I had been able to get inside of this gym. Unfortunately the parking situation is so ridiculous I decided that I would go to a different location. The only parking options are pay to park. They are already making a shitload of money off of me every month with my membership why do they need to make more by making me park in a pay to park garage. Until something about the parking situation is done or auxiliary parking is open to people who don't necessarily mind walking but don't want to pay I'll just be going to other locations. This review does not reflect the workmanship of any employees at the downtown location. I'm sure they are all doing a fantastic job. Most of them should get raises

I was so excited to join this gym and get my health back. I was impressed with the overall look of the gym and what it has to offer which includes a 24 hour parking garage with validation, so parking is free. When I first took the tour, I was eager to get started. While signing up I was coerced into signing up with a personal trainer which I wasn't truly ready for yet, but I was excited about that thinking it would help me get even more motivated. My experience however was less than desirable to say the least and I personally did not feel encouraged to keep using a trainer. I've had trainers in the past who kicked my ass into amazing shape without being rude while training. The cardio machines are very dirty and they run out of paper towels and spray for cleaning. Ridiculous for the size of that gym! Most members don't even bother to clean their machine after. The staff can be very curt with the exception of a couple of them. Also if you have a child, don't plan on the childcare being available all the time as they only have a max amount of children they can take at a time let alone charge you $5 each time, so you can just tack that on to your membership fees. There is also a smell of urine near the stairs that lead up to the cardio! Nasty! Another reviewer wrote that there is also a smell of BBQ in the cardio area which I can confirm is true and is gross while working out!The straw that broke the camels back: The other day while sitting in the sauna, I met a member in there who told me that the homeless have access to the pool area and they go in the pool and hot tub! That made me feel sick. He told me security tries to stop them, but they still get in.With that being said, I sucked up the cancellation fee and I joined a gym more local to my neighborhood and I am THRILLED!! It may not be as fancy, but it's clean and has all the equipment I need to get back on the road to health and has very friendly staff! Don't be fooled by the "looks" and offerings of this gym. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. 1 star is being generous.

I haven't been to a gym in some time i was excited about regaining some health benefits to say the least. I've only been here 4 times and 3 out of 4 the steam room has been out of order. But today the hot tub was below water level not cycling any water. To be frank this place is falling apart its so sad that the upkeep isn't being enforced.

I have no idea how this gym has 3.7 rating I've been lifting forever and this location is the best 24 hour fitness I've ever been to.One annoyance is on the flat benches there are constantly fans blowing. But that's not terrible enough lose a star.Occasionally the random homeless person will be running around naked in the locker room or trying to sleep on the floor randomly somewhere. Aside from that the gym is pretty lit.I just saw a comment about parking there is a machine inside on the front desk that validates your parking card so you don't pay for parking up to 3 hours. The more you know....

I have belonged to the 24-hr family since it was called Family Fitness & Raquet club in 1986 but I left there back in 2013. I was paying $34/mo and had access to all clubs till they started remodeling each club and telling me I couldn't work out there unless I paid $45/mo so I quit the gym and found a better gym for $10/mo. I recently came back to they gym on a 3-day free pass just to work out with my buddy because I broke my ankle and couldn't drive. The free-pass is a total lie. The 1st time I went I was forced to give two sales leads(name and telephone no of some friends of mine)or had to pay $25 1 time work out fee. The next day I was told If I didn't plan on joining, which I didn't, that this was my last free workout or $25 to pay one time the next work-out. The people I encountered both working here and working out here have an unbelievable amount of superior attitude. I've worked out at much better facilities. This isn't West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, or Pacific Palisades. It's Sacramento for goodness sake. Very bad experience. Will never bother with this place ever again.

Super-Sport Club. This facility is spacious, modern, and well planned out. A wide variety of newer equipment provides more options than most gyms. From the usual weight training, to specialized cross-fit equipment, and topped off with a wide selection of cardio equipment, this gym has everything you could need. The amenities include full size basket ball court, group classes, spin room, pool, steam room, sauna, hot tub, and towel service. The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and eager to please.Finding dumbells and clips can sometimes be a challenge.
