The Crunch Fitness gym at First Colony Commons offers an inviting environment with a range of state-of-the-art equipment. Members can enjoy various fitness amenities, including a sauna and hydro massage chairs. The gym operates 24 hours on select days, making it a convenient option for early birds and night owls alike. However, several reviews highlight consistent issues with cleanliness and customer service, indicating room for improvement in these areas. Despite this, many members appreciate the positive atmosphere and overall value provided by their memberships.

If you're considering Crunch Fitness, it's beneficial to visit during non-peak hours for a more pleasant experience, as it can get quite crowded at times. The gym's staff and management receive mixed feedback, so prospective members are encouraged to tour the facility and interact with the staff before committing. For those who value an extensive selection of equipment and flexible hours, Crunch Fitness could be a good fit, but cleanliness and service issues need to be weighed in your decision.

Pros:

  • Extensive range of equipment, including treadmills, monkey bars, and dumbbells
  • Hydro massage chairs and sauna available
  • Open 24 hours on select days
  • Friendly and supportive atmosphere
  • Affordable membership plans
  • Staff is generally helpful and approachable
  • Convenient location at First Colony Commons
  • Clean and organized during off-peak hours
  • Beginner-friendly environment
  • Great value for the membership cost

Cons:

  • Consistent cleanliness issues, especially in restrooms
  • Customer service can be lacking or rude
  • The gym can get overly crowded during peak hours

I LOVE. The hydro massages, and the yoga classes. This gym is awesome. All their shirts say no judgements here, and you can feel it. Every one is so supportive and gives you the space to work out with out judging where you’re at

Google reviews do save you.... I am one client who has now decided to NOT proceed with going with a membership with this club for 2 reasons. Firstly, I went to the club directly yesterday to enquire and there was a girl at the entrance who was extremely disinterested in giving me information. I just moved here and wanted to get a brand new membership and was understanding their pricing and facilities etc. Well....... your staff needs coaching on customer service for sure. She wasn't rude, but she wasn't friendly or willing to help either. That's a year's business lost....Crunch! Secondly, there are reviews here with how cancelation is a nightmare and how the availability of equipment is not the best at all times. Well, hope you enjoyed your enjoy-my-drink-avoid-the-customer beverage young lady :) So long...

The gym itself is fine but there’s a girl that works front desk that got the NASTIEST attitude. She’ll look at you, won’t smile back or anything, she’ll just make you uncomfortable. She works around the times 11-4. And I noticed even more reviews about this same girl, do something about it.

I've been coming here for a couple months and have enjoyed the gym.Positives: lots of equipment to choose from. They have battle ropes, monkey bars, multiple sets of dumbbells, multiple squat racks, and tons of other machinery. They also have an entire fleet of treadmills. The gym is generally well kept, more so at down times rather than busy hours. The sauna and hydro massage chairs are awesome and I use both regularly. There are many days in the week where the gym is open 24 hours which is great. The employees I have interacted with seem nice.Negatives: a lot of the things I find irritating about a gym are not anything any particular place of business can fix. Many members of this gym leave 45 lb plates on barbells and constantly fail to rerack their weights in general. They leave the sanitizing towelettes all over the floor. Most frustratingly, there will be huge friend groups who commandeer one machine for nearly 30 minutes and make it tough for other people to use it. I don't have a solution to this problem other than to encourage people to try and go at different hours. Anytime from 6-9:30 pm is gonna be super crowded and you'll be waiting a long time to use the machines that you want. After about 10 pm, the gym empties out a lot.Cost: I pay $29.22 a month for a non-contractual Peak membership. I get charged an annual fee of $54.11. For what you get with the membership and the gym I think that's a fair price. They have other options too.

Bathrooms are always unclean. Men’s sauna door is messed up. They need more calve machine equipment and lower back workout equipment. Wake up owner… For a gym that gets packed extended the hours at least.

You get what you pay for. It’s only $15 a month.

I like the book selection and great prices but sometimes the staff can be a little absent.

I've been trying to cancel my membership for 6 months. I continue to be charged monthly and the annual fee. There's a different manager each time I visit to discuss the issues.

I give it a 2 star because it’s ok to workout at especially if you are a young or single adult who looking for fresh meat to hook up with, smh, but if you are serious about working out and/ or you have children and want to workout while using their Kids Care it’s terrible. First of all the people running the kids care look like children themselves they are very impersonal and seem like they don’t care about their job which makes me feel that they will not care for my child, makes it hard to workout comfortably.Secondly, there’s hardly any toys or activities to do just a huge television and you have to call especially in the morning before you go because sometimes there’s no one there … definitely canceling sucks because they have a great price point .
