This is actually from my husband Ray. Posting here because he doesn't have a Google account. Here's his OT reviewI like the fact that I can concentrate on working hard to burn calories while the coaches guide me through a challenging and energetic one-hour workout. Class starts and is over before I know it. At the end of each class, I can review my results immediately on a display and ask the coaches about any area of concern. Then I get to repeat class as often as I can.

I absolutely love the classes here. I really feel like I am getting the workout that I need and also able to push myself to my limit. At a regular gym- I don't do well with pushing myself or sweating, but here I accomplish both. I drench myself on my way out and also overall feel so much better about myself. I look forward to pushing myself every day. The coaches are amazing. They always push you and motivate you. The music is very upbeat and gets you going. Although the membership is a little expensive, it's worth every single penny. When you feel like you are getting the workout your looking for, get challenged, and motivated, then its definitely worth the membership fee. I am excited to be a part of the #orangetheoryteam !

I've been working out at OrangeTheory Fitness for over a year and I am just as hooked as I was the first time I took a class. The workouts are never the same, so you don't get bored. I had two foot surgeries in the last year and the trainers were awesome with helping with modifications too. I love that I can show up and know I am going to get an awesome workout without having to think of what to do on my own. Can't recommend this place enough!!

I love the workouts. They are different everyday and focus on strength and endurance. I'm never bored. I love the instructors. They really cheer you on to hit your Splat points. The front office staff is friendly and always greets the customer by name. The members are friendly too.

The worst gym I have ever been to. This place is about weight loss which I am not in to. I've tried to cancel my membership not once but three times. And all of which this place will not let me. They have a bullshit 30 day cancellation rule before the billing date which I have tried to cancel three times. But they keep billing my card $89. This place has the WORST management and staff. I asked to speak with a regional manager and they don't have one. They have bad customer service. Do not go to this place unless you want to lose weight. There is no muscle gain involved. Just go to the gym instead.

Bait and SwitchBeware- when my husband and I signed up in February, we were skeptical because their concept is not designed with customer convenience in mind. Policies and procedures are very rigid and attendance is based on you signing up for classes. The class times we could make were booked solid for the next two weeks and we had to get on a waitlist and hope others would cancel. What this also meant for us was to constantly check out status to see if we could get in the class. We are very busy professionals however we endured this hassle because the sales associate said at the time of signing a membership that she would book us through July 2016 for the time slots that worked for us- THIS IS THE BAIT PART.We made it through the two weeks of being inconvenienced and then we began working out on a regular basis for one month. It was at that time (March), following a workout session that one of the sales associates pulls me to the side and tells me that the owner was reviewing our schedules and we are not allowed to be booked through July. WHAT? Clearly she saw I did not booked the classes, the sales associate at the time of signing did and it was based on that factor that we1. Invested $100 in the monitoring device (yes, that is correct the don't just "outfit" you for FREE on an ongoing basis- only for the first complimentary bait and switch class)2. Committed to paying $278 a month for our membership. The sales associate said she would not honor that agreement and the best she could do was keep April classes on the books. She cancelled all of May, June and July. It would be up to us to hassle with scheduling and waitlists- THIS IS THE SWITCH PART.It already takes a huge commitment to stick with a workout plan any where you go. We all know the odds are not in our favor when there are so many personal things that can get in our way. The last thing we need is to have to contend with constraints imposed by Orange Theory Fitness.Their concept is good in theory but not practical. We are going back to our gym... glad we kept our membership with them. Good-bye OTF, your lo$$!

OTF is a great blend of cardio and strength. The front office staff is friendly and helpful, and the trainers do an excellent job of motivating and instructing. Lori and Elizabeth in particular have done a great job helping me continue to get good workouts done throughout my pregnancy, while making sure that I didn't endanger the baby or myself. Jim, the owner, is honest and approachable. I definitely hope to return once things with the baby calm down!

This isn't a review for the actual workout since I wasn't allowed to do the workout - imagine that...I show up 20 minutes before the class to fill out paperwork and pay the workout fee.I don't live in Sugarland but I come here frequently and there is an OFT near my house in Dallas.I wait about five minutes because there is a line of people that don't appear to know whats going on - whether that is team members or potential new clients. When the team member behind the desk asks to help me I tell her I am here for the 8:45. She tells me I am too late for the tour of the gym and says I can't proceed. She tells me I have to be there 30 minutes before the workout. The gym appears to be a studio where you can see everything from the lobby. I tell her I don't really need a tour as I don't live here and I just want to pay the fee to workout. She says I need to take the tour to know what to expect and I have to fill out some paperwork. I can fill out paperwork in 1 minute but she still doesn't allow me to workout. So here is my first impression of Orange Theory Fitness.1. There is nothing on their mobile or desktop websites that tell you, you have to show up 30 minutes before your first workout.2. This place is appears to be ruled by insane corporate culture. There is a sign that says if you don't cancel your registered class 12 hours before, you will be charged a fee. So essentially, you are paying a fee to workout, and you are paying a fee if you don't workout.....3. If management does not give their team members the flexibility to allow them to make decisions at the ground level, how can they trust them to make their business grow.4. All their policies and pricing is hidden - no where does it talk about how much their plans are either for single workouts or monthly memberships. Additionally, if you work out at a facility and you are travelling and want to workout at a different facility - you may have to pay a "Premium Fee"5. While they may have the equipment and the resources to provide and excellent workout, they don't give their customers a chance to try it out. Seems like a doomed franchise concept.....And social media managers, please don't try to write to me to say hey, we want to earn your business - that's obviously not the case. This event happened in a room full of your team members and not one of them offered to say Hey - we'll be happy to let you work out, but you may not enjoy the full experience by getting here 30 minutes before. We apologize by not making that message clear on our website.

I have never used a team environment or fitness trainers so I was a little nervous but the experience was a great one. I arrived early to get the info on the equipment (as they explained on the phone when I called) and the monitor instructions. Everyone was very friendly. The workout was challenging but not in a bad way. It is really geared toward helping your level of fitness improve, not to kill you. Some "good" muscle discomfort the day after but no injury-type pain. I have had lower back injuries and hip strain in the past and neither of these surfaced. I returned for my next work out and signed up as a member.

Orange theory is a hour long workout that you would not do without the help of a coach, trainer or an excellent workout partner. You can expect to push yourself out of your comfort zone and most definitely get one hell of a workout in. The point is to get and stay in the fat burning zone (Orange) for as long as possible. Don't be afraid though! Your trainer will get you there gradually. You will wear a heart rate monitor that will display each zone, heart rate and calorie burn for the whole session that way you can really see how much work you are putting in! You'll also know if your cheating yourself rather then giving it all you've got.The first 2 sessions for newbies are free and must be used within a specific time period. Also space is limited so DO NOT expect to just walk in and join a class at your desired time slot. You can call ahead and check for availability and ask for whichever class time you want as long as their are slots open. Also I just noticed today you can find the schedule on their website and it will tell you the availability for each day. This is not a typical gym where you walk in to lift weights or run on a treadmill( although you will do both of those) X amount of people can fit into each class so disregard the first review although it could have been explained better to avoid that persons frustration. All walks of life take the classes so don't be afraid if you are just starting your journey or you want to step up your fitness game.
