I can’t speak highly enough about Greg, Jason and the team at FIT Lab. I’ve been working out with them for about 6 months and they are in a class of their own. The structure, guidance, feedback and encouragement have really taken my fitness to another level.

I have been going to FIT Lab for the past 4 months and worked mostly with Patrick and Stephen. Workouts are tailored to my individuals goals and needs - with a real focus and understanding of the science. They have helped me get into better shape quickly. I only wish I had started sooner.

Through my experience at the Fit Lab Inc., I now know how to properly work out. Over the past 7 years I have done every work out in the tri-state area: Flywheel, Flybarre, Soul Cycle, Rumble, SLT, Physique 57, Orange Theory, Barry's Bootcamp, and other unknown places on Class Pass ... you name it, I did it! To get a "good workout" I thought it had to be heart pounding, so sore you can't move for the next 3 days, etc.During all of these workouts my body was in so much pain. My hips so tight that sitting to standing hurt, constantly spending money on massages. What I didn't know was that I was not taught how to properly work out. That go go, more more was the way to work out. Instead of, stop, breath, slow down to do the move correctly so you are actually hitting the muscles/part of the body intended. After having a c-section with my first pregnancy I needed to start slow and didn't want to hurt myself. My husband who had a lot of back/hip problems had been going to the Fit Lab Inc. for about a year, and was finally feeling relief. He suggested I go. Thinking on boy personal training, it's going to be expensive I will only do it for a month or two until I get myself back on track.Well here I am almost 10 months later going to the Fit Lab Inc. 2-3 days a week. They taught me how to use my breath and all of my body parts correctly to make the simplest of moves hard and challenging! And the best part is, I am sore in a good way for my body the next day or two, not ready for a full body cast like I used to be.I highly recommend both the personal training and the group classes! The group classes are fun, but small so you still feel like you are getting that one-on-one attention. So ladies who have hitting up the spin bikes and barre classes feeling stale or pregnant/postpartum mamas I would give the Fit Lab Inc. a try!!!

Coming from a trainer in the city, I was looking for a trainer local yet the caliber I was used to. Being a former Division I athlete, I love being pushed to my potential safely. Ron, the trainer at FIT Lab, is amazing. He gives instruction yet keeps a pace that makes a great work out. Any athletes looking to improve their form and potential, see trainer Ron.

The FIT Lab excels in three main ways that have solidified my conviction in them as the top local choice for investing in fitness:1) Trainers that are absolutely at the top of their game and passionate about exercise science.2) Custom tailored approach - prior injury history, desired goals and work/lifestyle considerations are carefully factored into programming.3) The people and culture at FIT lab create an environment that is inclusive, motivating and an absolute joy to be a part of.Thankful to have this gem in Hoboken and excited to see how their commitment to enhancement will continue to evolve the well-being of our community.

I've been working with the FitLab team for about a year now. I started at the gym coming off of COVID and after becoming a new dad both of which caused me to completely lose any semblance of a fitness routine. I'd say I was starting from a place of being modestly athletic - my ad hoc routine was a random mix of either weights, cardio, and climbing. The issue was I always plateaued quickly and I almost always ended up with some joint or muscle pain. It felt like time to get some help.Enter the FitLab. My ego wanted some quick pointers and to immediately move into big weight, but the emphasis was on form and a stronger mind-body connection. Based on how I struggled it was clear there was a lot of foundational work that needed to be done. While mentally frustrating at moments, it has really paid off and I've seen what feels like tremendous progress. Outside of the obvious physical changes, I've actually seen an increase in my general quality of life.My improved strength and better body mechanics have seen most of my legacy nagging injuries disappear - no joint pain, no lower back or IT tightness, and just less body tension overall. Activities like holding my daughter for long periods (or throwing her in the air), lifting larger objects, having to do bent over work, or even taking long car rides actually feels different and easier. Remove all the ego stroking of feeling stronger and this alone is worth the effort!Lastly, the team just really cares. I've had a chance to work with nearly all of the coaches (Jason, Pat, Ron, Greg, and Steve) and I've enjoyed each one of them. There is a concerted effort to provide you with the environment and support to achieve the progression that suits you at the pace you prefer. I've never felt a hesitation to ask a question, ask for a modifier/slower pace, or discuss a concern. Because of this I don't approach the gym with any dread and I feel disappointed if I have to miss an appointment.I don't write reviews often and I feel I have a pretty high bar for even wanting to write to a review, but I can unequivocally recommend FitLab.

I found FIT Lab while looking for some personal training to help with pain I have been experiencing during certain lifts. Immediately, Jason not only evaluated and assisted with my technique, he taught me new skills through proper breathing and the concept of proper "stacking." It has positiviley impacted the way I approach lifting. I am learning to liftwithout any pain or fear of improper form causing injury. It's an incredible feeling.

I've been going to the FitLab for a couple of months now. I have had such a great experience with my trainer Ronald. He's patient, kind and most importantly extremely knowledgable in lifting/training. I have been taught me so much in terms of technique, breathing, and so much more. We've worked toward increasing my strength and I have started noticing in my SLT classes being able to hold positions for the full time, rather than once having to take a break. All of the trainers here are very friendly and make you feel at home. I highly recommend taking a chance with the FIT Lab. You won't regret it!

I joined The Fit Lab about eight months ago, and am so happy that I did so. Feeling intimidated and unmotivated by larger classes and gyms that I was previously going to, I decided to sign up for personal training at TFL. Within a few months of sessions I learned so much about strength training, such as proper form and the importance of breathing (things they don't focus on in those larger classes I had taken like HIIT/spin/etc). I've since moved from personal training to small group training and enjoy it just as much. There are people of varying levels of fitness in the groups and all of the coaches truly take the time to accommodate and give tips/adjustments/attention to everyone. Shoutout to Jason for working with me on deadlift form over and over until I finally got it. Another big plus is that the owner/coach, Greg, takes the time to offer support outside of the gym by sharing helpful articles, checking in on goals & progress, giving nutrition advice, etc. It's clear that he really cares about the success of all TFL clients. Overall, I highly recommend The Fit Lab for anyone searching for an effective fitness program with a super knowledgeable group of coaches!

I started at the FIT Lab in February 2022, and it truly changed my life style. I work as a nurse and was noticing that I was not strong enough nor efficiently using my core muscles for patient care. I was concerned that this weakness would lead to an injury. The FIT Lab creates a holistic plan for your fitness journey and truly incorporate your needs. All of the trainers are wonderful, knowledgable, and enthusiastic about fitness and wellbeing. In only four months, I feel physically and mentally stronger, and look forward to working out again. And, as an added bonus, I gained almost 3 pounds of muscle during my time! I would recommend FIT Lab to anyone in the Hoboken area!
