XSport Fitness

As a member attending the Arlington North you will deal with: 1) crowded locker room with no lockers available because members and staff leave their locks on there permanently. They threaten to cut locks but this doesn't seem to help. 2) blaring music so much you can't hear your own headphones. 3) members who refuse to use towels on machines even when the place offers towel service. 4) leaky ceilings and buckets catching water after anything more than moderate rains. 5) plenty of meathead steroid bodybuilders grunting loudly and monopolizing weights as they talk to each other for 15 min between sets. 6) free weights strewn everywhere because no one puts them back. 7) less than pleasant front desk staff who could be tidying up the gym instead sit there on their phones.When you try to cancel you will have to write a letter and send to corporate headquarters via certified mail. Then, beware because 3-4 months later they will charge your credit card all of those months retroactively. This happened to both my wife and my accounts and we were not on a joint account. Had to call corporate and they apologized both times for the "clerical error." Not sure how Xsport escapes investigation by a consumer group for what is definitely a scam hoping you don't notice your card getting charged! I was paying $33.50/month at Xsport and have sinced joined Zip Fitness where I paid about $130 for a 12 month membership. I am much happier at Zip Fitness.I will never recommend anyone to join any Xsport Fitness location.

I didn't have a good experience here. The salesman are way too pushy , and they want you to sign up right at the spot not mentioned that they made me wait a long time just to get a tour around the gym. I've heard bad things about this gym and I didn't want to believe any of it, but I don't think I'll ever join Xsport. Don't waste your money or time here. If I could rate it a zero I would just like someone mentioned below.

I can't freeze my membership because they don't do it on the weekend. Told me to call corporate and waited half an hour with no response. I call my home gym and I have to be there to cancel it, but I'm away for school. To avoid this problem previously, I tried to pay for my membership cash only. One day, I buy a snack with my card and they start charging my membership from it without my approval. At least it's a debit so I can just withdraw the money and xsport can't steal from me anymore. Can't wait for an automated reply...

Dirty place to work out. Never seen any employees clear up the area in the men's locker room. Could smell piss in the shower room. I know close friends who got athletes foot from the locker room. Not worth the time to go there because of the hygiene issue. Joined a better gym because of how sick export is. The employees are very pushy when it comes to sales. They seem very arrogant around the customers. Would not want to come back.

There is definitely improvement under the new management. Towels are always available, hot water issue during peak hours have been resolved and pool water is in much better shape.Cannot disagree, however, with complains about general cleanness. In particular, the shower area can definitely benefit from some additional attention.

There are plenty of machines available for working out. Very convenient hours. They could do better in keeping paper towel dispensers filled and disinfectant bottles filled. Parking can be a problem when gym is busy, but I am usually in early enough to avoid that. I have been a member for two years and I am satisfied with XSport.

Love it here! Would get 5 stars if things like the water fountains and mirrors were cleaner. The personal training staff seems younger and less professional than other gyms (XSport included) that I've been to. Great front desk staff and morning childcare M-Th and S is fantastic.

Absolutely horrible gym! Never go here they will advertise their rock climbing wall and won't let you even go on it without ordering personal training sessions, and guess what! None of their personal trainers were even certified to belay for the rock climbing wall! So they have a giant wall in the back of the gym that they use to lure you in but make it so you can never use!! This gym is ridiculous, the equipment is sub par to even the $10 a month crunch gym only a couple miles away! Signing up at this gym was the worst mistake of my life and cancelling requires jumping through a million hoops line snail mailing a letter so they can stop electronically charging you, get with the times xsport. Horrible gym never sign up.

I love it here! The staff is great, the atmosphere is great! This is my favorite XSPORT, I've been to others and some are too small and some crowded with no space between machines, this place is great! I recommend this place! (Those of you who sign contracts need to actually read what you're signing, that's common sense!)
