Never joined a gym before but we are thoroughly loving our membership at Planet Fitness. Everybody is so friendly and cool. Love the massage bed we get to do after our workouts. Very pleased.

As far as planet fitness locations are concerned, it's very large with ample amounts of equipment. They don't seem to be concerned about the cleanliness of the locker rooms as other locations across the country. The staff seem to be happy doing nothing behind the front counter. Time to lean? Time to clean! Also, it is the first location I've been to that does not sell towels. Weird.

Overall great gym with a reasonable membership cost. They have a good variety of machines and equipment although a few machines have only one each, making them difficult to get on during busy hours. Very friendly staff working at the front desk who typically greet you upon arrival and tell you "bye" when you leave. This gym is always clean and I see a lot of staff cleaning/sweeping/vacuuming frequently. Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone!

Best PF I have seen. Staff could be a little more excited about being there, but, hey, I get it. It's a job. Always clean and I love the extra workout areas, like the cross fit special area.

Great atmosphere to work out at, up to date equipment, friendly staff and they truly are a judgement free zone. I love working out here and highly recommend them to everyone who wants to experience the same. Keep up the good work PLANET FITNESS in Gastonia, I'm a proud member.

Place is extremely clean and the staff is always welcoming. I usually go during peak busy times so it can be hard to get on machines or free weights, but that is part for course with PF, not a big deal.

I have been going here about two years on and off. The past couple months have been so bad. The gym it’s self is amazing but the staff is SO RUDE! I work retail and know how you need to treat people... and they do the complete opposite. I made this account just so I could write a review because that’s how bad they treat people. Going to Belmont from now on.

As a new member with a black card, was surprised and impressed that the staff realized it was our first time there and gave us a tour of their facilities! He even let us know if at any time we had questions to feel free to ask him! We felt very welcomed!

****Update 7/6/18: after I left the below one star review, a general manager or district manager called me personally to say it was being fixed. Here we are over a week later and it still isn't fixed. On the bright side, they can finally advertise as having a sauna at that location!The staff is nice and for the most part the equipment is decent, but rating this a 1 Star because of how hot it is inside the building. The half of the room where all the cardio is has nice fans that move the air and keep it feeling a lot cooler. Over on the weights side of the building, nothing at all! No fans, and no air circulation from their inadequate air conditioning unit.Would it really kill them to install a row of fans on the weight half of the building? I will gladly retract and change my review and give more stars once this happens. Until then, hope this place really is "The Judgement Free Zone" when someone has a damn heat stroke in there.
