I was a black card member for over 5 years. I was pregnant and wanted to stop the membership until I have the baby and the customer service at the gym told me that if I stop the membership I will have to pay the sig up fee again, so I told her can I get the $10. Membership? and she said I can not Not downgrade to the 10 dollars because I will have to pay the membership fee again. Love the gym but horrible customer service my husband called and they told him another story. They're not consistent.

This place sucks, please invest your money elsewhere. I was told that when I signed up for a black card membership for one year, that once the year was up I would need to renew my membership. I checked in with a staff member a month before my membership was supposed to expire and was told I would not be charged anymore, and I would need to renew my membership to continue going to the gym. I don’t use my debit card for anything else, so after my membership was supposed to end, I stopped checking in on my bank account. Little did I know, they’ve been charging me month after month. Which would be fine, if they weren’t being funny about it. Each month, they charge me $10 more than the month before. I told them about the issue on the phone and asked to have my money back, and I don’t know if they knew I could hear them, but they were being very disrespectful and rude and laughing at me. The girl who first answered the phone was giggling at my situation and handed the phone to the manager. The man asked me what the situation was and I didn’t even get to finish my first sentence before he started speaking over me and trying to tell me there’s nothing he can do. This place is awful. The employees are thieves, and they don’t care to give you the time of day to help you. Don’t go there.

Was a customer since 2017 and charged monthly. Went to this location today and they said I had to pay $20 for late payments. I informed the assistant manager there that I get a monthly auto charge on my account every month so how am I being charged a late fee. She simply said that we don’t accept credit card payments and I had no choice but to pay or she’s going to send my account to collections. Never been treated with such disrespect before.

Not a bad PF at all. Has tons of space and equipment compared to the one in Hoboken. Worth being a black card member. Only bad part is the locker room was dirty.

Unfriendly staff, did not provide detail before upgrading to black membership. Seems like hurry in getting member with black card without providing the required detail even though provided the reason for upgrade.Poor staff - don’t recommend this gym to friends

Terrible experience both in North Bergen & Fairview. Gym wasn't able to charge me bc they don't accept American Express Centurion Bank.So I went to pay in person and the unknowledgeable front desk guy left me waiting so long, I left. Went to their Fairview location to make payment - they said I could only pay in N. Bergen! I thought they were in the business of taking my money to let me excercise - I guess not.I swear, I'm not making this up. Ive been trying to workout now for over an hour at two locations! I've never actually worked out there - ever. Today would've been my first time; but I'm happy to pay the $58 cancellation fee so that I never have to deal with their incompetence, lack of people skills, and their culture of "no, I'm sorry we can't do that" ever again.Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Planet Fitness franchise in North Bergen and Fairview. You'll thank me later.

This place is usually clean and can be crowded during peak hours 8am-11am 5pm-830pm... my problem with this location is the staff. They are constantly changing front desk staff. Every time i call, its a new person. Im constantly getting put on hold to resolve payment issues and put on hold when asking questions. It seems to me that the staff is constantly changing about every 3-4 months or so. That is my only issue. Otherwise, good location to bang your workout out

I’m here at 4 am. There is a guy fully sleeping on the massage bed. Shoes off, laying on his side. Been there for 30 minutes. Staff member helped me with another massage bed, totally ignored the sleeping guy. A nearby sign says sleeping is not permitted on massage equipment.Also there are 2 sets of 10 televisions, but Fox News is not playing on any of them. In this day and age, you should play both Fox and CNN or neither. But you can’t be just putting CNN alone on. Makes half the country feel UNWELCOME in a gym that (supposedly) values acceptance. And when Fox is on at a PF, there’s always someone there in front of it on a treadmill. I don’t want some random channel. This is deeper than just some channel I like. Should remove CNN too if you’re not going to show Fox AND CNN.One star.UPDATE: Owner replied to this review and said to call in. I've called in twice, and left my number with two different people who said the manager would call me back. No call yet. So... was the owner serious? Or was this just feigning concern in the review. Like "oh call us, if only you talk to us we care." But we see... they don't call you back. Been 4 days now.

First thing I didn't like is the stretching area did not have anything to use to stretch with accept your legs. Also they didn't have enough equipment compared to most planet fitness the people that have also there wear not using dumbbells 20 25 and 40 pounds in front of them and nobody put them back so people assumed that they were just using them meanwhile people waiting to use them waited 10 min then realizing they where not using them then asked another words there's no respect for the gym putting stuff back nore a staff member who steps in to direct those individuals that don't have gym edicate that most gyms have . not really happy with this gym probably never going back to the specific location

I just joined the gym. Unfortunately left my purse in the bathroom. As I walked out, I noticed. I went to inquire at the front desk and the employee badge read Queen Michelle was EXTREMELY RUDE. Her mood stinks all around, NOT FRIENDLY. Definitely not someone you want to see 1st thing in the AM ready to workout. She said, you just noticed instead of being sympathetic. Of course, I was missing my money. Employees like her ruin a business name. The company should be more mindful when hiring young people.
