Staff did not provide the information that I needed. The person there was not helpful at all, he seem to be in another world. The manager came helped me a little bit, but your staff definitely needs more training. They seem like they don’t want to work at all is like they don’t care if customer enroll or not.

It was an average experience. The staff is friendly. There were stations that had no tissue paper in order to wipe the machines but other than that it's a great place with great parking and great equipment as well.

For $11 a month it's hard to complain. I like their philosophy of no muscle heads with string tank tops and that everyone belongs. This North Bergen location on Tonnelle has a lot of space and equipment, but its cluttered with equipment rarely used and not enough equipment that everyone uses. Good luck trying to use a weight bench or the pec dec. these are 100% utilized regardless of time of day. They should remove equipment rarely used and add more of those frequently used. Often, highly utilized equipment will remain out of order for weeks. For the most part the staff is usually friendly and courteous. Then there are some of the younger guys that won't even look at you when you walk in ; forget even saying hello. Overall this place suits my needs and I will continue to come.

My name is Jamel I've been a member for almost 8 years. Most of that time I was in Hoboken but I moved to north bergen because of parking, I have been calling the location to help with a billing issue ,my card was stolen so I had to change my banking info due to my work schedule and not having my car I was not able to go to the location. I called today I spoke with team member Bryan about my billing and other questions I had , he was not able to help he would put me on hold and ask thr manager, so I asked could I just hold and speak to her since he had no idea about the gym rules , only to be told she is to busy to talk to anyone. Can you guys please train the team members on the gym rules. I called the bayonne location and they were very helpful (Shane was great) I eill be transferring my membership there .

I normally don’t write reviews but I felt the need too at this point. The was I was treated by Barbara U was horrible. It was October 8 th 2020 alittle after 3pm I believe, I entered Planet Fitness in North Bergen and I went to cancel my membership. From the start she had a nasty attitude & was very very rude. She stated I had a bill of 40 dollars and another of 10 dollars and needed to be paid before canceling. I tried explaining why would I have to pay, I haven’t been to the gym since it opened due to COVID and I didn’t have any time to come to North Bergen to close the account because I work every day and live out the area. I tried canceling at another location but they stated it had to be in North Bergen. ( That’s another issue if I have a black card and I’m able to go to any location why can I cancel at any location).She continued with an attitude and I wasn’t going to argue with a child because that’s exactly how she was acting. I paid the money and will make sure to write as many reviews as I can about her. Hopefully Planet fitness will send her for training, she definitely needs some.When I get back to the gym it will never be from this location, thanks to Barbara U.

I’ve been to many different Planet Fitnesses in 8 different states and never had a bad experience until I came to this one. Finally after giving this place a third try I decided to write a review. Poor communication skills and all around a poor experience.

This not my home club, I stopped in because I was in the area for work I wanted to tan before heading to my next errand. Walked in and asked if the tanning in was up and running (I’ve been to other locations were it was not) there seemed to be confusion on whether it was up and running and I was directed to sign in, I waited and was directed to the correct room. As I stood waiting for the booth to start up and pressing the start button it was not working. I got dressed and went back to the desk to inform them it wasn’t working. They said it says I completed it even though I clearly was not in the room longer than 3 minutes. But because their system said it was completed I lost my tanning session which did not happen and could not even go to another club because of the 24hour rule with tanning.There was nothing to be done, and the staff there did not try fix the situation. No manager to speak to as well. I will not return to this club location.

I went in today and I feel very disgusted with the customer service skills of both the Gm Madlyn and the Am Gina ! Neither of them were able to find solutions or be proactive, instead of the manager being sympathetic or empathetic she asked me is I disrespected the Am and that should not be a concern if not she should be worried about how the Am could not keep her cool. This says a lot about management and the quality of management in this location! I hope that this will help the owner of the franchise location because this was unacceptable. I just can’t believe that this happen to me , I will be canceling my membership , I was wanting to change my gym because I just moved to area however! But now I especially know why members always switch to a competitor. I used to work for planet Fitness as the AM in 34th and 28th . This by far is the worse gym experience, the quality of the gym is ok and I would have survived but the The attitude of both managers is horrendous and I really hope that once I writeTo corporate someone contacts them on a customer service training.

I went to planet fitness to work out for the first time in 2 years, I paid my membership every month even though I wasn't going to the gym and when I came back to workout they said I had 4 Planet Fitness accounts in total and that I owed 200 And change for each one, I spoke to the manager and she said if I paid half the bill they'd take the other half off but it isn't fair, I've paid my membership every month I shouldn't have a balance.. and how is it possible to have 4 accounts open!? They messed up on their side
